  1. Well considering the cab is part of the unibody, i guess youre looking for another truck :hmm:
  2. http://www.rockauto.com/en/moreinfo.php?pk=4217640&cc=1181584&jsn=368 Installation was cake and works perfectly.
  3. Ive had good luck with the reset procedure on my renix trucks after modifications/replacement parts
  4. I had plenty of slack when I installed my new cable earlier this year. I'm not sure if it was running over the booster when I swapped the OEM one out years back but it runs under it now and with it adjusted works great. Here's a link on adjusting the cable http://www.lunghd.com/Tech_Articles/Transmission_and_Transfer_Case/Transmission_Automatic_Shifter_Adjustments.htm
  5. I have mine routed under my larger booster and just replaced my cable recently actually. It is adjustable as well if needed
  6. Nope. Take off the positive+ battery cable and touch it to a ground for 30-60 seconds. Then before hooking it back up go in turn on the headlights, than turn them off. Than hook the battery cable back up.....this resets the ECM on a Renix
  7. Been running Syncromesh in my AX15 for a few years with no issues... However the truck its in only gets maybe 700 miles a year or so put on it anymore.
  8. Sounded alot like a rooster to me :dunno: :rotfl2:
  9. Looks like the ring isn't locked in on the right side.
  10. :(
  11. This is false for the 2.5 TBI power plant. Coolant does flow through the intake manifold by way of the upper heater hose. Granted the loose intake manifold bolt wouldn't cause a leak. Sorry, didn't read close enough and have next to zero 2.5 experience. Glad I learned something today. ;)
  12. Motor oil and brake fluid is all you have in there. Check the plugs on the coil and clean them if ya can. Start there. We'll see what we can find. Lol
  13. Probably just stuck. If all 4 bolts are out of the retainer, try the slide hammer again
  14. My guess is a frost plug has rusted through. There is no coolant relevant to either of the manifolds. Also check the sensor in the back drivers side corner of the head. Good luck
  15. I will give this a try with my 88 2wd. 70 mile round trip to work all highway. I'll let you know how it goes. Currently averaging 17.5mpg running 87 Oct.
  16. Thats interesting. So if youre doing alot of highway driving the higher test fuel could be a benefit.
  17. Random thought that I figured I'd throw out here to you guys. Do you see any viable benefit to running a tank of higher octane fuel every now and then? I'm usually 87 octane but have been known to fill up with 89 or even 93 now and then just for the state of mind that it may help "clean" the system after running a few tanks of "low grade" fuel. Idk if it even does a thing considering all fuels around here contain ethanol which is more corrosive than anything else in gasoline IMO. Just wanted to bring it up and see what your opinions are.
  18. Nice!
  19. I used a spray dye to paint the interior of my J20 with great results.
  20. Hmmm, I would think a sheared off flexplate would have made a heckuva racket but that would be a welcome surprise in this situation.
  21. Passed my 10 year date last September. Still spend more time on this forum than anywhere else.
