  1. Only issue I've had with their stuff is the downpipe I bought didn't clear the front driveline and rubbed on right hand turns. Alittle clearencing and all was good though...this was on an 88 4.0
  2. And some photos of taking advantage of this nice weather.
  3. Got the new exhaust welded up today finalizing this whole adventure. Gonna get er all shined up this afternoon. :)
  4. I run Flowtech Raptor mufflers on my trucks and run 18" glass packs in place of the cats.
  5. Pumps are the same. Shine a light in the tank and look around, if it's not bad I wouldn't bother with removing it.
  6. Which RR sliders do you have? The standard sliders or the supersliders with the rail? Supersliders on an XJ. Also super-expensive........... Super sliders. I'm more than happy with them after installing them in 2012, but they took a lot of muscling to get on there
  7. I have the Rocky Road outfitters sliders, which I had to weld on to make work so I can't praise their designing and fitment very well either. I think Krustys sliders look great, I wouldn't be afraid to run em on my trucks.
  8. I'm stuck at work.....haha
  9. Tore apart the transfer case and sure enough the chain was shot, tearing up the pump filter and all. After replacing the chain all is perfectly fine. Thanks for the input guys.
  10. Well it's sure been an adventure. After getting it all buttoned up it was evident that the transfer case chain was absolutely shot, so out it came again and the 231 was serviced with a new chain and fork pads. All back together this week only to have the new shift cable fail.....not happy, cheap junk is all it is. I have another of a different brand on the way. The trans and transfer case all work great now atleast, its been a great learning experience as well. :)
  11. I like it!
  12. I was hearing something very similar to that while running the truck on stands....I ordered a chain and such this evening. I'm very confident this is where the problem lies. Thanks fellas
  13. I'm sure there would be, everything else points to the t case. Interesting fact on the locker putting reverse pressure
  14. Yeah, after tearing apart the front diff I'm leaning towards something ary inside the transfer case...
  15. Swapped Aw4s. Installed a 23 spline version from a 95 XJ along with the transfer case from the same Jeep.
  16. Alright fellas, I know the whole "fix my noise" approach online isn't always the best but I'm just looking for anymore opinions. Anyway, 88 Aw4/231. Just finished up a transmission and transfer case swap and now have a severe bang/knocking. With the truck on stands and in 4wd it only occurs when hitting the brakes, when driving it occurs when turning and under acceleration. So far I've checked out these parts. Reset and adjusted transfer case linkage Tore apart front diff and examed internals, including, ring, pinion and Spartan locker as well as both axle shafts. Nothing abnormal Fluid in t-case is full and fresh Fluid in ft diff was water contaminated and was swapped, new fluid was also very milky after being in there for a few hundred feet, fresh fluid will be used upon reassembly Axle shaft u joints are both tight and clean, lf is brand new along with shafts. Transfer case was working fine from the previous owner and I have no issues from it in 2wd on the jackstands. So that's where I am, anyone have anything else I should check out?
  17. Waiting on a shift cable and need to weld up the exhaust yet but over the last week I've gotten this task all knocked out with help from friends. Some new photos to follow, I promise!
  18. LED bars are undisputedidly awesome!
  19. That engraved rear bumper is sweet! Haha.
  20. Awesome. Let me know how much ;) lol
  21. Meh, I'd find a trailer. Lol
