Swapping Aw4 transmissions, includes new torque converter and seals Also swapping in a matching 23 spline transfer case New exhaust from the header back ( new manifold likely to come later this year as well) Alloy front axle shafts and new fluids for the Diffs. It's been awhile since I had to dump any major fundage into this truck so its time to make another Car payment as I say. Haha.

Yeah that's what I've been reading, I'm currently aiming for replacing all seals and probably the torque converter while its out and reinstalling, since there is no issues with drivability

Alright fellas, well I've developed a leak from my Transmission on my 4wd 88 AW4. It's likely from the pump seal so obviously the trans has to come out. Here's where I'd like to discuss a bit. The trans shifts and operates fine and supposedly was refreshed about 85k ago (no proof on that) I'm debating whether to have it completely rebuilt while its out to save headache down the road, or just to pull it change a few seals and re install....would it be wise to replace the torque converter? Just looking for opinions on what the most efficient way is to go about this.... Thanks guys!

Replaced the power steering pump,and the engine wiring harness to sort out an injector wiring issue. Another snow event is approaching, always glad to cruise the snow covered terrian in this truck.

Bowled on leagues from 96-09.....get out every now and then but nothing like I used to. My average was always around 165. Best game ever I think was a 240 or so

time for alittle update in this thread. Decided to bring all my auxiliary lights up to spec and upgrade to all LED. The difference is amazing and they actually look good with their square profile.

That would essentially be a short AAL. How's the ride? I used both the 2nd and 3rd leaf on my 96 XJ. The ride firmed up a bit but using it for towing my fourwheelers it handled it perfectly. The other 2 Xjs I've don't this on I only added the 2nd MJ leaf from the pack and they ride great imo. Anything's better than saggy stock. Lol

Wow, I've missed the activity in this topic. Anyway I mounted it on a lwb truck, stock brackets and fey step bumper.

Done this plenty of times. Use the 2nd or 3rd MJ leaf in the XJ pack. You'll gain around 2" of lift. You may have to upgrade the shocks as well depending on the lift you gain. Works great though and is holding strong on the applications I've used it.
