Insane dedication to drive that far for an MJ? It was a deal I couldn't pass up and it's a chance to meet new people! And she is awesome. But this trip has been planned for a year so we were going pregnant or not lol. And nope, I haven't bought any tailgates....you in Indiana? Sent from my SM-G892A using Tapatalk

Rear bumper opinions/options:
krustyballer16 replied to Sir Sam's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
I just glanced thru the comments...But I build a bumper similar to nates but much better! Mine doesn't attach with just 4 bolts to a dinky welded on plate. It uses plates welded on and it bolts to the same bolts the hitch uses. Shelbyluvv and a few others have them on their trucks. Look in the vendor section. Can customize too somewhat. But I personally like the dirtbound bumper look, just would want the reciever behind the license plate. Sent from my SM-G892A using Tapatalk -
It just depends. That's 4 hours out of the way. Lol. We're gonna be driving 6 of the 9 days were gone. Blah. And during our trip shell be 12 weeks. Got the first picture yesterday [emoji3] Sent from my SM-G892A using Tapatalk

Thanks !That was my original plan, Colorado. But weather killed that idea. And we were gonna go to the grand canyon but it's out of the way and will burn up a day of Cali time so we decided against it. We're probably not gonna know where well stop at every night. Depends on how far I can drive. It's just me she can't pull a trailer. Sent from my SM-G892A using Tapatalk

Some of you may know that at the end of February ill be driving from my house in Cory, IN to 29 Palms California to pick up Black Betty from Bo, shelvyluvv. I'm buying the truck and trailering her 2000 miles home! And since I'd have an empty trailer headed out there, I talked John Jackson, johnj, into letting me haul his TDI swapped MJ from Michigan out to Bo's house for him to pick up a few weeks later. Should be a fun trip. My pregnant girlfriend will be tagging along and we plan to stop in Vegas along the way or on the way back. Probably be stopping in Texas somewhere for the night but not sure after that. We won't really have a lot of time to do a whole lot except drive. Is there anywhere that anybody suggests we stop at on our way? Once we get to Bo's we'll drop the trailer and drive to LA. Then up to panamint springs resort for the night to see my new Comanche buddy Noah bricker and to drop off his rear bumper I built him. I'm excited but it'll be stressful. Any pointers for the drive or visits? If anybody is looking for custom CJ/YJ bumpers or a MJ hitch let me know and I you're along my route, I can drop it off with you. I'm hoping not! Customer price maybe but I hope not at my price. And I can't take credit for this really. I just took Bo's pictures and gave them to an engineer and then bugged that person for a few weeks til it was done. Sent from my SM-G892A using Tapatalk

Do they make a sealed beam more than 65 watts? Cuz that's a stock headlight. There's no stock headlights that aren't sealed beam i don't think. But an aftermarket housing might or might not handle the heat. Depends on quality and material. The glass sense of my deltas get pretty hot after a good drive. you can feel he at off them about 12" away... glass is just fine after 4 years Sent from my SM-G892A using Tapatalk -

This is my current set up. FCK flush mounts as highs and their regular pods as lows. I love my Narvas and deltas in my mj but that's more than I wanna spend on a wheeler. And I've got a putco harness now, just gotta solder new plug ins on it cuz I cut em off to hardwire the pods in lol. Sent from my SM-G892A using Tapatalk -

I'm looking for something for my wheeler xj so I don't need anything extreme. I juat drive it in the snow now and the pods I have in my headlights now aren't cutting it Might juat stick some silverstars in there and be done since they can be bought anywhere. Sent from my SM-G892A using Tapatalk -

Have your tried the Narva 130/100? They're "off road motorcycle bulbs" I run them in my delta housings with a putco harness. Holy $#!& they're bright! I don't even use my high beams. Sent from my SM-G892A using Tapatalk -

Ebay Special Headlight
krustyballer16 replied to Amccutc21's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
That's why I bought a set like 6 years ago. But had them in and first night I was about 20 miles from home and couldn't see at all. Not even exaggerating, my running lights were brighter. And different bulbs didn't help at all. The black just absorbs the light Sent from my SM-G892A using Tapatalk
