  1. Do NOT run a cRusty's, Rocky Road or Rough Country track bar. Pay a little extra and get a quality unit. I (and hundreds of others) have had issues with those three companies.
  2. I like Rockkrawler track bars
  3. Look for a older turbo dodge intercooler. Rob (automan) found a Shelby Daytona a few days ago in a junkyard and it still had the little intercooler. Thay are about 2" thick, 8" wide and 14" long. These are rough estimates though. It could be slightly bigger or smaller but not by much.
  4. Thanks guys. It has been pretty easy with her girls. We have been a small family for a year or so. They are good kids.
  5. I overloaded the MJ last week. When I finally got all the weight out of the bed, any minor taps of the brakes would lock up the rears. I had to disconnect the rod and panic stop the truck to relieve the pressure in the LSV. She works fine now. Be careful with adjusting that angle. It doesn't take much to lock up the rear on these light truck.
  6. A few pics from the wedding My wife and new step daughters. Onyx making an appearance as well!
  7. I've never seen a more beautiful woman in my life. She walked down the isle and I lost it.

    Tire dilemma

I am very happy with my Coopers.
  9. From what I read they will fit any lund old style visor
  10. I want to get these for my visor and put LEDs behind them. http://www.amazon.com/Lund-MoonVisor-Replacement-Clear-Lenses/dp/B00DO72KMC
  11. My soon to be wife has been out of town this week for training. We are getting married Saturday and have been miserable without each other. I have never been a sappy guy but this woman brings a totally different person out of me. I have asked her a thousand times why I was the lucky one, why she picked me, why? While she was gone she put her thoughts on paper and handed me this tonight. I got teary eyed, she's my one and I am so thankful she took a chance on me. Babe, when you read this always remember, I am the lucky one! I love you Stephanie!
  12. Good job man! Nothing feels better than resolving a electrical issue. I tell all my friends to learn electrical trouble shooting and reading wiring diagrams. Once you have those two down most other issues are easy.

    Tire dilemma

The ATP is almost a AT3 with a slightly more aggressive sidewall. They are only sold through Discount Tire Direct. It is made for them by Cooper. They come in a 225/75r16 no 70 series
  14. I'm curious why you are removing the dealers name? I guess it is like blocking out a license plate in pictures. Which I don't understand either?
  15. Nobody is repopping the lower body stripe. They say the dot matrix fade is too hard and expensive to reproduce. There is no source for them either. If you have a good painter he could do the fade with a gun and make it look decent from a distance.
  16. I think something along these lines would be a more popular replacement.
  17. There are two nuts on the bottom of the column that hold the ignition switch in. You can remove it completely and shove a screwdriver in the middle to see if it will crank.
  18. Try to adjust the ignition switch
  19. Standard payload as in non metric ton. The custom just means it's a base model truck. They were available in 86 as a, Custom (bare bones base model), X (a bit nicer), XLS (the Laredo equivalent in 86)
  20. That's more better! Notice the check digit is valid now. It is a standard payload Comanche Custom. VIN : 1JTBL651XGT115913 Country : United States Manufacturer : Jeep Corporation Vehicle Type : Truck Engine : Turbo Diesel, 2.1 Liter, Renault Powertrain : 5 Speed, Manual Transmission, Floor Shift, Part Time Transfer Case 4 WD Line (Body Type) : Comanche Truck, 4 WD, 7 ft Box Model and Gross Vehicle Weight : Cherokee Base Model, 4001#-5000# GVW * Comanche Custom Model, Standard Payload [1815/2268 Kg] Check Digit : X Year : 1986 Plant Location : Toledo, Ohio, USA Sequential Serial Number : 115913 Check Digit Test : VIN valide
  21. The "L" in the 8th digit is messing me up. I don't see that code listed for the 86 as a payload option. Are you sure it is not a 1?
  22. VIN : 1JTBL65LXGT115913 Check Digit Test : VIN errone - Check digit EDIT: for wrong VIN.
  23. For anyone reading this. Cherokee flares *regardless of year, front or rear, or how many doors the XJ has* will NOT work on the rear of an MJ without modification to either the flare or the body of the truck. The rear flare opening on the MJ is both taller and wider than that of the XJ. Please see the links below for pictures and clarifaction if you still have any questions. http://comancheclub.com/topic/24997-97-xj-rear-bumper-swap/ http://comancheclub.com/topic/21031-fender-flares-for-a-comanche-with-cherokee-2001-front/ http://www.jeepforum.com/forum/f53/comanche-rear-fender-flares-612972/ http://comancheclub.com/topic/8271-fender-flares/ In conclusion, Cherokee flares will not work on the rear of a Comanche without modification.
