  1. I use Walbro pumps in my drag car. I had problems with the Bosch not being able to keep pressure in rail.
  2. This! I would suggest a 04 Special Edition with out all cool electric gizmos. Like this...
  3. Bent axle flange from some clown hammering on the edge of it. Mine was the same way on the rear. Break out the flap wheel and smooth the edges on it.
  4. why did you cut up those black door panels? I have a set here already cut for speakers I would have traded you! Either way your truck is looking beautiful! Good job so far.
  5. 1 XL Black long sleeve with tan logo
  6. I have owned 2 different Chryco's with the 4.7 and I love that motor. I have had no major problems out of any of them. The Durango had 176K and still pulled down 25 MPG and the WJ has just under 100K and gets 24 MPG with a BB and bigger tires. I had to replace the water pump on the WJ at 35K under warranty for a bad bearing. Other than that that is the ONLY maintenance replacement part I have put on either of them. The WJ is probably do for spark plugs by now. If I could have found one for Betty you can bet it would have made it's way into the truck before the dinosaur 5.2 Magnum did. I would never, ever, own a WJ with a 4.0L in it. The Jeep is too heavy for the 6 holer.
  7. That is a 242 swap article. There has been a few that have installed the 231 in a WJ but they can't get the speedo working. The WJ speedo is run off the rear diff through the sensor on the T-case. In 2000-2002 you could get a WJ with a 242. These are practically a bolt in. You will need a new rear drive shaft, shifter plate, and the linkage. All this can be found on car=part.com.
  8. The ARB is a over priced POS. I had one on my WJ and bent the living hell out of it. They are way to thin to be of any use in the rocks or trails where you might have to squeeze through trees. They do look good though.
  9. I can pull them and ship them to you. I know the guy who is parting the MJ. $200 plus shipping. Image Not Found
  10. They sure do. I had it yesterday with my boys!
  11. Happy 236th Devil Dogs! Gunny
  12. :rotfl2: Good thing they can read the badge on the side of the truck!
  13. http://www.southernjeeps.org/phpbb/view ... hp?t=37583 You still interested in buying some?
  14. I am pretty sure I have seen those doors before too...
  15. Not if you get the correct radiator and fan set up. A stock MJ rad will barely keep a 4.0 happy. That is where most people go wrong with a V8 conversion. Also, a fan shroud is a vital piece of your cooling system. I am using a 3 core aluminum radiator for a Chevy on my Magnum conversion. I am still on the fence about a electric fan of mechanical fan with a shroud. I have HD ZJ fan clutch with a newer XJ fan and shroud right now. I have not had the truck running long enough to see if I am going to have any over heating issues. I am pretty sure I got it right though.
  16. I just finished a two month school and a move last Monday. Betty is secured in the new garage until I can get it dug out from under the pile of boxes. I hope to have her finished by this spring. I want to drive it!
  17. I know this does not help your problem Jim. But I thought the 93-95 ZJs had a 46RH trans?
  18. I used a 2000 TJ tank and pump. I made my own brackets and mounts for it to fit. There is a pretty decent write up in this thread on what I did and the parts I used to complete it.
  19. Dakota 18 gallon tank in the stock location or a TJ tank in the spare tire area are your best bets. The Copperhead Fab ring is a pretty sweet deal.
  20. I read your post wrong the first time. I edited my first post. See above. Talk to Ryan with the Rescue Green rig. He used a Copperhead Fab ring on a non slosh tray tank I think.
  21. You can't use the stock MJ wiring if you ever want the gauge to read. Read the ONYX build for some fuel system pointers. There are a few others who have used Dakota tanks and Copperhead Fab rings to put a 97+ XJ pump in a stock tank.
  22. You can make them tilt forward. http://www.comancheclub.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=16295&hilit=making+seat+tilt
  23. I did my seat mounts the same way. It was the easiest way I could make them work correctly. The conversion is looking good. The rear bumper is not a factory installed unit. The stockers are totally different and have plastic end caps. This is a bent up stock rear bumper.
  24. The one in the front is a Toyota and the rear 4 door looks like an older Zhongxing to me. It could be a Ranger as well.
  25. I use this one on my WJ and Ram 2500. They are the best bang for the buck in my opinion and they are easy to hook up. http://www.bsaohio.com/instructs/5500in.pdf Here is the low down on a flat 7 plug. http://www.etrailer.com/faq-wiring.aspx
