  1. Not to get this off topic, but the rear bumper is one thing that will not work as bolt on. XJ's & MJ's are virtually identical from the doors forward, but the rear stuff is typically not interchangeable.
  2. Here are some ideas for some cool grillin' :D
  3. Yeah...give yourself a few to cool off and talk to them. I'll bet they are willing to work it out as long as you don't "attack" them to start with ;) . If they give you any grief at all, demand a refund and go with another as suggested.
  4. BLL is the stuff for a hot day. Very refreshing. I have come to like it a lot and drink very little of anything else any more. It was a very humid 90+ here yesterday, but with thunderstorms most of the afternoon. Going to do the same today it looks like. I got the yard work done this morning, so I guess I'll just sit back and enjoy...
  5. Yes...those studs are still available. They should retail at about $5 each. I could sell them to you at a little better price ($3.50 each) but with shipping added on, you are right back at $5. As for the donut...I think there is, but my Chrysler website is apparently having issues and I can not access it to verify that right now.
  6. That is AWESOME...
  7. X2 This problem is typically the track bar.
  8. 17-18 around town. Don't drive it any HWY miles... 4.0L, 5spd, 4x4, 3.07 gears, 31x10.50 Swampers, EDIT - properly calculated speedo ;)
  9. It says Florida observes it, but I have never heard of it either...
  10. That's what many folks love about this site...including me  I can honestly say that I have NEVER been on a site like this one. :D
  11. Cool...done
  12. :laughin: The topic is 3 years old ... are you bored ... ? ;) :D

    Gas prices

Just went up 2 cents to $3.89 for 87 here.
  14. Wade...I'll see if I can get in touch with him. He had to move back to NY because of some family issues so he is no longer here in Orlando. The reason that you don't see them on the site is that he was having trouble getting cores to build. The '99 - '04 use a different injector that is slimmer and uses a different connector than the previous years. robfg67 - Interesting article, but as usual with JP, I don't agree with a fair amount of it. I stopped getting JP magazine a long time ago when it changed ownership as the new owners just don't see to know the @$$ from a hole in the ground to be straight up about it. ;)
  15. I am at work, so I can't take time to read the article right now. I got a 14% increase in fuel mileage on my truck along with smoother idle and faster acceleration. $126 is cheap for a full set of injectors...especially when you consider that the new ones run at about $95 each.
  16. There will be an article coming out in JRations Magazine soon, that I helped one of the writers do, about the fuel injector swap. Many of us on here have done it long ago, but I got the hook-up with a good guy at Precision Auto Injectors and he now offers a 10% discount if you buy through his site (not eBay) and use ' JEEP ' as the discount code at checkout.
  17. Yep...that's where I found it.
  18. Exactly...that corrosion can (and will) run down inside the cables and cause a lot of trouble. You can clean what you see, but it's amazing what can hide.
  19. Nice work. That should last a while 8) .
  20. I can get it for you for $75 + $7 shipping ;) Retails for about $115 at my dealership. Others may vary, but should be close. PM me if you wish for me to help you with it  .
  21. Just a qualification on that pic I posted... It is NOT my truck, but just a pic that I found on a quick Google search so I have no idea what year it is. ;)
  22. There must be more to that story. I have never heard of a 4.0L getting that kind of mileage around town. I have heard of a few getting 21-22 on a trip though. Mine gets 17-18 around town. 8 miles to work...8 miles home and a little running around on weekends with 187K on the ticker, 31x10.50 swampers and 3.07 gears. Chico...it should be better, but depending on how hard the 220K was...that may be all it's going to do. Your short trips and low speeds only contribute to poor MPG. Optimum MPG is typically obtained between 55 & 63 mph for most vehicles.
  23. Don't know if there is any real way to figure it, but I would venture a guess that less than 30% of them are still on the road. I wish I could find some in a JY like that. I have looked many times and have only ever found two in salvage in the last year or slightly over.
  24. :brows: That happens sometimes... ;)
