Yeah....the injectors from Precision are great. I saw a 14% increase in MPG as well as better idle and accleration. If you surf eBay, you will see them on there too, but be careful as he does not honor the ' JEEP ' discount code for eBay purchases...only through the website. Performance mods are just that...for performance...so they will take more gas. You can do a couple small things like a free flowing intake & exhaust, but you are not going to see a big difference in performance or MPG with those. A 4.0L performing at it's best will do 17-18 around town and in the low 20's hwy and it just doesn't get any better no matter how much money you throw at it ;) . Mine was only getting about 15 MPG prior to doing the injectors, so it was money well invested for me as they paid for themselves in about 3 tanks of gas :D .

Speedo Re-calibration??
BLHTAZ replied to summerinmaine's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Correct... The only thing being effected would be the number of miles on the odometer. ;) -
8) Cool... I haven't seen a Hesco before, but I have seen 4.0L supercharges a few times.

I haven't seen Mello Yellow in a long time. I wonder if we have it in FL?? Gonna have to go look now :laughin:

Not true. Forum software does not decrease the number of the member if Pete or Eagle were to remove someone. All that happens is that number is removed from the database. The next new user would be incremented just the same as the last, so JeepcoMJ will always be 757, unless Pete changes the type of software the forum uses. OK...I guess it's a different version here then. The site that I Admin on changes everyones number when I delete a user. Sorry fir the "jack" ... back to Black & White now ;)

Speedo Re-calibration??
BLHTAZ replied to summerinmaine's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
The input to the ECU does not change or need to be calibrated with changing of gears or tires. It is read off of the CPS which is not effected by such changes. -
Sounds like a great idea. I can't imagine that there would be any law about how you paint your truck as long as you don't intentionally try to impersonate or pass it off as a law enforcement vehicle. I never checked my member # before so I just went and looked. I don't think I want to post that on my truck ... 666 ...  :laughin: The problem with using a number from the "memberlist" is that if anyone gets removed with a lower number than you, your number changes.

The real first thing I did was to put mirrors on the doors as it came with none. Then... -Bucket seats -3.5" lift -wheels/tires etc, etc, etc... ;)

Need a little help with engine related problem
BLHTAZ replied to bigborebates's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
You can get a set of fuel injectors HERE for a very resonable price. If you use the word ' JEEP ' as a discount code at check out it should take 10% off as well. ;) I use these injectors as well as several other folks on here and they are great. I got a 14% increase in MPG as well as a much smoother running engine and better acceleration from the swap. -
Speedo Re-calibration??
BLHTAZ replied to summerinmaine's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Most of the long shaft gears are now gone. When I look them up...they automatically supercede in the computer to the newer style part number so you have to do like I did and simply swap the shaft out of your old gear in to the new one. It is simple and takes only 2 minutes to do. The whole gear change process, including the shaft swap, will take 10-15 minutes. -
There's an MJ in that pic... where... :hmm: I see an XJ with a nice "roof rack"...

If you host your pics on Photobucket, they offer a photo editor that does a nice job. You can also try Irfanview if you want a free utility for photo editing... http://www.irfanview.com/main_download_engl.htm

The issue is likely going to be found in these suggestions, or there is a problem with the slave itself that is going to force you to take it back out. It's possible that there was a situation with a weak master and all the other stuff being new is just too much for it. Personally...I would check the pedal assembly over real good and make sure all is well under the dash then probably install a new master. I would not want to take the tranny out again unless forced so I would be willling to spend the money on a master and take the chance...but, that's me ;) . If that doesn't help...then I guess there is only one thing left...

Need a little help with engine related problem

Check EGR, IAC, MAP, plugs and fuel injectors. Distributor is a slight possibility, but due to the fact that it gets better with more throttle, I am not thinking in that direction on this one. -
I must admit...I did want to see if anyone would get a little pumped up over it and how long it would take for someone to find a way to disprove them. :nanner: Jim was real quick on shooting it down :laughin:

Project "Eliminator"
BLHTAZ replied to 89eliminator's topic in MJ Hardcore Tech: Epic Journeys to Greatness
That's about what mine ended up costing after my "damage" refund  They do a real good job and yours looks great  -
Looks good. Just need to re-size them down to about 800 pixels wide.

This is all happening because he just put a new clutch in... ;) Yes, just keep working it. Mine did exactly the same thing, but when it finally starts allowing you to shift gears, it may still feel a little weak like mine did. I took it out for a short ride and it started feeleing a little better and the tech at work that helped me out said that it just needed a little more time on the road so I drove it home (about 16 miles) and it has been great ever since.

Be careful on the shipping as costs have gone way up. I shipped two seats from here (FL) to Wisconsin a couple months ago and it was over $50 a seat with UPS.

My boss has at least two FC150's right now. One is shot and being used for parts on the other one that he is doing a complete strip down, sandblasting restoration on. He has already blasted the frame and body, painted both. They are in the process of rebuilding the engine & tranny right now.

OK...didn't think about the comments at the end. Those were there with the email too...not mine. I just copied the email ;)

My personal preference is the Dark Blue so isay leave it alone ;) . We have three vehicles, the MJ, a YJ and a 202 Ram and they are all the same color...

Use the proper towing set up and you should be fine. Go over the MJ good before the trip...check/change fluids, coolant, hoses, belt etc, etc... ;)
