  1. Host the picture on the Internet somewhere then post it in the image tags like this...
  2. 35 front huh? :rotfl2: OOPS... I got this thread mixed up with the one talking about the D44 Waggy front... :laughin:
  3. Yep...and stay far away from one that has it or be prepared to take it off and throw it away. The parts for the ABS systems are no longer available and if you do find any, they are terribly expensive.
  4. We're keepin' her going. I'm still getting as many as I have time for in every day
  5. If you go to the Jib-Jab website, you can put your own face in part of that video :D . It's the part near the end whkere Uncle Sam pokes the guy and he falls in the crowd...you can become the guy that gets poked  . Yes...I did it... :brows:
  6. Mine did not have a cat. on it and Istayed with the 2.25 as I did not want to lose the back pressure. Iwa sa little worried that it might have the droning problem, but it's not there. We drove it out to dinner last Saturday night which was about an 8 mile trip in the interstate and we could not tell that it had been changed. You can hear/feel it a little more at slower speeds, but it's definitely quieter inside than I expected. I don't have a header though and that may make some difference.
  7. A spool is much like welding the two axle shafts together solid. You would have to be sure that your disconnect was working to run a spool in the front or convert to manual locking hubs otherwise it would not be driveable.
  8. That it did... :D It's only 73 here right now . If the fire pit wasn't filled with water we could go out and build a fire to sit by tonight with it being that cool :brows: .
  9. You are one of a very small crowd. When I worked for 4 Wheel Parts, the Claw was the most hated and returned tire of anything we sold. We had people threaten to sue the company if we did not take them back and replace them with a "decent" tire. I too run the TrXus tires on the MJ and love them. They are not terribly expensive and they are fairly common.
  10. Yes...it is a good "quality" swap. It will take a little work as the Waggy D44 is leaf sprung so you will have to fashion some perches for coils, but the axle is definitely good for what you want. OH...BTW...be sure that it is not the one with the vacuum assembly on the upper left side of the differential. It can be done away with, but it's kind of a pain in the @$$. ;)
  11. This is what I found when I came out of work tonight. I walked in water almost up to my knees to get in it :D Just for reference...my truck has a 2.5" lift and 33" tires. -sorry for the poor cell phone pics-
  12. Sweet... That thing should get up and go with all them stickers
  13. I don't really know about Mobil 1, but the AMSOIL 75-140 says that friction modifier is not needed...BUT, they make it in case you "want it". I run the AMSOIL in my 1500 Ram with no modifier with no problems and I tow up to 5000 lbs with it fairly often.
  14. That's where I got mine ;)
  15. Yes...you are correct
  16. I personally would go with an OX, but they are pricey. I don't like electric or air lockers...too many possible issues. I have a friend that runs lock-rites and they perform much better than the Tru-Trac. He actually competes in the WE-Rock circuit with them in one of his rigs. If you look at that site, he is currently #5 ranked in the Mod. Stock Class. ;)
  17. That depends on where you get the parts needed to do it. Some people are fortunate to find great deals in junk yards while others buy complete vehicles to strip parts from. You need a transmission, transfer case, front axle, front driveshaft and all the small stuff like shifters & linkage to make it work.
  18. Yes, your '91 was built with the open system.
  19. D44 does come with the MT, but It's not exclusive that I know of.
  20. ...and what rear axle does it have??
  21. While I find that hilarious...Pete does try to keep politically related stuff off of this site and I believe that to be a good policy. Just an FYI if this happens to go away... ;)
  22. We have one in our D30 in our '95 YJ. It works pretty well, but it is not a locker (as stated) and I hate it for rock crawling. It has been through quite a few places and we have always made it, but it has not always been able to pull with both tires in some situations that we really needed it to. You will love it if you are not a crawler though
  23. There is also a very good thread here about doing the conversion an easier way... http://comancheclub.com/forums/viewtopi ... sc&start=0 It is very similar to Eagles idea, just a new twist on it ;) Trust me when I say...use one of these methods and don't do a full radiator change with changing all the hoses etc, etc... I did it and spent a lot of time and money that I did not need to spend on that conversion. I believe it was well over $400 by the time I figured it all out with sensors, fan controllers ...blah blah blah blah... . It works well now, but it was not worth the effort or money to do it this way. I believe it is worth doing for the convenience thing though even though there is no real performance gains from it. .
  24. They should just pull out, but you may need to use a big screw driver or something like that to pry on them a little. If they have been in there for many years without being removed/replaced you will likely break them and have to replace them because they will be dry and brittle. You can get repalcements at NAPA that are not terribly expensive.
  25. CPS... Crank Position Sensor ;)
