  1. :agree: maybe the lack of broken glass...
  2. a couple years ago, my wife and i went to a place called silver lake up here, which is a bunch of sand dunes. she was getting motion sick and didn't like it too much until she started driving. taking the wife is great now.
  3. yes, that was posted before, but it still pisses me off
  4. after my wife gets back to watch our son, i'll be doing more rust repair in prep for por15 on the floors and underside.
  5. here's a pic of my old dog, scout. he was an english springer spanial, field bread. we had to put him down a few years back. this is the only pic i have on my computer. and my other family dog from a few years ago that my parents put down this year :( giggles, a basset hound. my sister named her giggles  i was thinking jaws or killer would have been a better name for a basset.
  6. This is our Wolf... His name is Jake. Seriously, he's a Czechoslovakian Wolfdog We just got him last night. His former family had to give him up since the lady's elderly mother was moving in with them due to health concerns, and the mother is allergic to dogs. They didn't want him to go the pound or anything, so now he's living with us. He's obviously very smart and fairly well trained, and we think he's about 6 or 7 years old. His old family saved him as a stray. He's intelligent and well-trained, and the only time he barks is when something really is going on, like a thief being in the backyard and have the police show up a few minutes later.
  7. ehlers
  8. my rep emailed back (or more likely an intern) that it's not up for vote, nor is it scheduled for vote, but that he would support this bill if it does go to vote.
  9. i haven't had that problem, but if he's right about a bad pump gasket seal, it is about that easy. where are you located?
  10. my rep is one of the co sponsors, and he's ignored everything i've told him so far :( but i emailed anyways.
  11. thanks for what appears to be a fair description of your experience without throwing every name possible at him. i've looked at his stuff before, but never thought it seemed like that good of a deal.
  12. never been a fan of peeing stickers, but it would be easy to modify as flexing on another sticker, like a round club sticker.
  13. i put those injectors in my truck, and i'd recommend it to anyone. i wasn't too particular about my MPG calculations, but it's somewhere around a 10% increase for me, aside from the better performance.
  14. i've seen one comanche around here in the death rows. it looks like the twin to my truck :( admittedly though, that truck was in rough shape. the tailgate was shot, the bed was shot, the rockers, cab corners, and floor were all missing, and there was a huge hole in the passenger door. it has 193,000 miles on it. tail lights and slider window looked good though, and it has the skip and pioneer packages. 4.0 auto 4wd LWB. i've seen a couple land rovers, too, including a late model range rover. there's no way that wasn't worth more than 4500 bucks.
  15. that depends on what parts you have :D i'd trade $4000 worth of parts for it...
  16. like a train wreck, i couldn't stop watching... although at 3 something minutes, he shows that it drives by remote control, which is kind of cool. the lights and hydro's, though, are
  17. part of the trade was an aw4 i had lying around, since that's what he wanted out of this truck and was trying to part the rest. i forgot to mention that, so i had to hook up the trans lines and put various bolts, brackets, cables, and both drive shafts back on. it worked well for him because he didn't have to do all the work of pulling it and then still have a partial truck to get rid of. i'll get the frame straightened sometime, but right now i pretty much have no cash into it besides the plates, and there's not much extra to put into it right now.
  18. this one's a 99 cherokee classic that i go ton trade for a few parts basically. 194,000 miles, great oil pressure, runs great. 4.0/auto/np231j. someone pulled out in front of the previous owner, so you can see the damage below. Aside from the header, bumper, both fenders, the hood, and the radiator support, the radiator, AC condenser, both cooling fans, the upper radiator support, and power steering pulley were all damaged. So far I've fixed up the essentials to make it drivable, and I'll be on the lookout for the body panels needed in the proper color. I have a green header I might repaint and throw on, if I can't find the right color. I'll have to do something about the bumper mounts, so I'm thinking a nice steel tube bumper with some added header protection. I'll probably do a few minor tweaks to it, maybe a couple inches of lift, but mostly keep it stock and keep the MJ in good condition. I gotta say though, I like the power on these late model 4.0's :driving:
  19. o-scopes are also good for things like oxygen sensors.
  20. you can get a usb wifi antenna at any computer store and they're only maybe $20-30. i have one for my garage computer, but the computer has a fried motherboard so it does me no good.
  21. that depends on a lot of things... going to work, it's either my MJ or pedal power. going somewhere with the family, it's currently a nissan altima, but i'm also fixing up a 99 XJ that will see primary winter duty to keep the rust off the MJ and the altima, since the altima is rust free from texas and the MJ is pretty clean, too then there's while i'm at work, i drive a chevy 2500 cargo van.
  22. :agree: about going to colorado...
  23. around here, wal mart doesn't even have good prices. even if they did, i wouldn't shop there.
  24. that LKQ looks even better than the one here, at least with how the ground is packed. The one by my place has some pretty good ruts developing in spots. But I'd recommend them.
  25. There's an LKQ in Rockford? My wife is from there. I've had good experience with the LKQ in this area, so I'll have to keep that in mind if I need parts while I'm out that way. Where is it in Rockford?
