    How much

i'm adding to the chorus...keep the truck, a kid seat fits fine! i've even had my son (who's currently 13 months), myself, and my wife all in the comanche with bench seat. tight and cozy, but it works...and it sounds like you don't even need that much room.
  2. yea that was it...but i wouldnt want most of them even if i had that kind of money.
  3. a lot of the ones in this link are just outrageous and nothing but show, but there's a really nice set up on page 16  http://www.luxury4play.com/automotive/36568-worlds-most-beautiful-garages-exotics-insane-garage-picture-thread-50-pics.html it was there when i posted it at first, i even tested it  :hmm:
  4. i like it, but what's with the tiny loops on the front bumper?
  5. if i can just get a job figure out, i'm thinking of buying back my old truck to save it from a crusher...if i just had the money
  6. so how could you say you have too many jeeps? :rotf: i'm just jealous
  7. i see it comes with the factory floor delete option so common in certain areas :D welcome. beer's in the fridge, avoid the couch in the corner...
  8. swapped in some ford injectors :brows: , which worked well in my old MJ and my old XJ so i'm looking forward to how it will drive now. i also cleaned out the CCV intake side grommet (the one on the back of the valve cover with the small tube coming out of it). the thing was caked over solid with carbon
  9. i'm pretty sure i have a good headlight switch around, $15 shipped for a start...
  10. i've done worse...but it's not my favorite job to do, either.
  11. you may need to figure out something with the heater controls since you'd have to replace the heater core/evaporator, and you may need to grab the compressor bracket off the engine also. i'm not sure, just things to consider.

    Just for Fun?

:teehee: :agree: although these guys take up a good amount of time too: josiah (son) and jake (dog) and of course... me and the wife
  13. this came up under the related listings... http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=150378981140&category=6286&_trksid=p4340.m263&_trkparms=algo%3DSI%26its%3DI%252BC%26itu%3DUCI%26otn%3D10%26ps%3D63
  14. glad it's not getting parted, i was sooo close to offering to drive out there and give you some money for the whole thing, which would be a baaad idea for me right now. :D
  15. they wouldn't have time to evict me, i'd be gone too quick. someone with that attitude isn't going to get money from me.

  17. yea if i didn't have a mortgage and a family to provide for, running might be more of an option. i'd rather live where there be mountains. by the way pete, i did finally start on those floors on my mj, and found some rust holes where the floor pan meets the firewall on both sides. i'm working on prepping, patching, then por15.
  18. haha thanks wade. although if those other conditions were true, $5/hour probably wouldn't be so bad. i've got a couple things that may be open to me already, but i figure it never hurts to see what else there is since i'm looking.
  19. i personally enjoy a good Belgian brew. hoegaarden is good
  20. ...of the underemployed. As of January 2nd, my job is being cut to part time (my birthday, ironically enough). At least I have a couple months to find something. Anyone know of some good jobs in the Grand Rapids, MI area? Or a really good job somewhere else? I only have half a college degree right now. I have my state license to be a mechanic. Update: So I found a job as a mechanic at a local shop, I start Monday :D
  21. light and beer do not go together.
  22. Perhaps what he's doing and will do will be worth the Nobel, but I think it's too early to tell. So far, I've seen too many mixed signals to tell. I think that premature nomination and giving of the prize to President Obama just cheapens the meaning.
  23. that they were caught and that they could face the death penalty are the only good things in there.
  24. if you say just in a parts store lot, than it would be the TPS on my old 87 xj while i was visiting my then-girlfriend in rockford, il. as for out of the way repairs, i drove from grand rapids mi to rockford il on a saturday, took sunday to do a clutch in a friend's saturn on the side of the road, and drove back sunday night/monday morning to be at work monday. it was still cheaper for me to do that getting the parts here in mi and driving out there plus charging for labor and gas than it would have been for a local shop to do it in il  and by cheaper i'm talking a couple hundred bucks. by the way, you have to pull the engine to get to the clutch on those cars  then there's the d35 that blew out while towing an mj home on a tow dolly, causing the left axle shaft and tire to fly off the road 100 yards or so that i rigged back together and limped home with the towed mj backwards on the dolly so that wheel straps held the shaft in place :D couldn't go over 30 mph or it started fish tailing from being so unstable.
  25. ummm its called a beetle, not... a whale... rabbit... or turtle
