correct the 96 transfercase has a 23 spline count and mine has a 21 spline count..... you are correct i want to keep the same drice shafts ALSO my speedo is cable driven not electric so theres a problem so i pulled out the 23 spline input very simple and I'm going to install it into my tcase problem solved..... but wil the ds stay the same i ask again and do i use the whole clutch assy with the ax15

i have an 88 mj cheif, short bed, 4 wheel drive, 4.0 with the ba10/5... i have the whole transmission/t case from a 96 cherokee... the bellhousing,clutch assy...master cylinder with line and external slave....... its attached to a 231...... yes i know the 96 231 has a 23 spline count as to my poopy 21 in the ba10... so no match up on that. here's one my questions can i take the input outa the 96 t case and put it in mine. and put it in my t case onto the ax15????? Question two the transmission cross member how far off is it i got a welder sooooooo i can fab up some stuff..... BUTTTTTT my biggest question is the rear drive shaft length is it going to stuff my slip yoke into my t case cause that would suckkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk

tooo late i ripped the axles out dana 30 aussi 3.07s dana 44 welded 3.07 700$ for sale in a month my friend might want them so i gave him a month

yea the shock boots were put on about 3 hours prior to the event and the tool box tailgate was a last minute thing worked good though :dunno:

soooooooo i just calculated my MPH with a top speed calculator ofline and it told me i will have a top speed of 50 mph at 4000 rpm?????? i have a 88 with the 4.0 low output , i put in .79 as a 5th gear ratio ( I have a five speed ba10/5 ), 2.72 as a transfercase ratio, and 4.10 as axle gears. i also have 32 inch super swampers. my question is...... is the topspeed right at 4000 rpm and 5th gear i will go 50 mph ?????????????????????????????? :nuts:
