  1. When I mentioned the rod...I meant the rod of the Slave cylinder that goes into the bell housing
  2. I tried that but the washer on the older one doesn't fit into the new one.... So I redrilled the hole to fit my pedal assembly it's a 1/2 size drill bit

What's up fellas So I'm close to halfway through my ax15 swap and I had gotten 2 used clutch master cylinder and clutch slave cylinder kits from the jy and followed "factory" procedures to bleed them.... But when I go to install everything in place the rod pops off when I press the peddle and falls into the bell housing Is it easier to just buy a whole new pre-bled set or Is there anyway to prevent this....?

  5. This 86 had the 2.8 and had the amc 20 with 4.10s non posi....
  6. It will be fine if you stay in 2wd, But like shelby said, Pull the driveshaft just in case.. You don't want to deal with repairing it if the shifter gets pushed into 4wd on accident. Also, it might just be cheaper to pick up a d30 with 4.10 gears already in it, And just swap the entire axle. You could also probably find a non cad 4.10 (Not sure what years/etc had 4.10) Stupid rare! I've been looking for 3 years... Sorry to thread hi-jack

  13. Well since doing the ax15 swap there's no complete kit for the 2.5.... So I had to peice it completely... I originally bought a luk clutch kit for mine but for that year and it did come with one but it's not the correct one.... I ordered one from rock auto...should be here at the end of the week.... You wouldn't happen to have a transmission jack do you? Floor jack and a block of wood just isn't cutting it....

  15. Ax5 is out and was a pain trying to get the stock pilot bearing out...4 hours to say the least...until I gave up and borrowed an impact gun to get the fly wheel off... Forgot to get a clutch alignment tool so gotta wait until the end of the week to get one...parts stores don't sell them separately
  16. Ok 88 means b/a 10 transmission....and 3.07 gears And you have 3 rear axle options Dana 35, dana 44, and amc 20.... Since it's an 88 amc 20 is out of the picture.... Unless that truck has already been modified.... Stock Comanches with an auto came with 3.55 gears and manual had 3.07 gears....if you had a 4.0 2.5 Comanches auto (rumored) came with 4.56 gears and the manual came with 4.10s
  17. Any other way? I don't have one or anyone that does.... Also after replacing the pump... I noticed after idling (30 mins), and restarting it the idle would shoot down to 50-200 rpms and it will stay there for about 30 seconds then start hunting for an idle to bump it back up to 500-700 rpms... Could this be tps?
