  1. What's up fellas So I refreshed my steering on my 98 Xj and was wondering why my steering wheel wouldn't go back to straight even after adjusting it myself and a alignment shop... Then compared it to the one on my Comanche and it looks bent(prebent) but maybe I thought I bought the wrong part #.... Then bought a wholesale priced one and it's the same as the one on my Xj.... Pic of the one installed And the new one compared to the one for my Comanche... Has anyone have this same problem?
  2. Just to give an idea...I have 4.10s and 32s on my 98 4.0 ax15 4x4 and at 2500 rpms I'm at 70mph...
  3. Man that motor sounds mean! That cam shaft broke in well...
  4. Congrats...1 BA MJ AND AVATAR PIC lol
  5. This guys set up is pretty BA... If I had the welding skills or even knew how to weld id be building on of these of my truck... Scroll down for the pics http://comancheclub.com/topic/44082-jams-build/page-2
  6. Congrats!
  7. Nice...double check the gears on it... I found the hard way a couple times that 2.5s auto came with 3.55s unless they were swapped out from someone else previously.... But good deal! I seen one earlier for $500 2wd 4.0 auto Busted radiator and no front bumper...
  8. I have photobucket and I use the img link and no problems...
  9. Stripes looks good...I should've put mine back on... PO said mine was a sport truck model... Nice score on the 2 door...what are the specs?
  10. If your willing to swap in an ax5 then an ax15 swap isn't that much difficult... I did it on my 4cyl and it was my first one....but like any swap you just have to have the correct parts and new parts to do it... The only true issue I had was the ax15 I picked up was from a wrangler which clocks the transfer case up more against the body but a little massaging made it fit... Edit: also to add when doing the ax15 swap. parts aren't off the shelf like a stock ax5 would be...or in a complete clutch kit...
  11. That's the factory transmission in my 2000 Cherokee. No problems whatsoever. It's one of the sweetest transmissions I have ever driven, and at 72 years old I have driven a LOT of manual transmissions. IMHO it's superior to the AX-15 in every way possible. I especially like the lower first gear ratio, and the fact that it's not at all balky about shifting into second gear (which is a characteristic of both the BA 10/5 and the AX-15).Sweet...I've had the luxury of the ax5 and ax15...The ax15 in my Comanche shifts smooth with the 10w-30 fluid put into it.... The Cherokee going to 2nd when cold has to have a bit of arm strength to put it in...haven't changed the fluid yet... I guess like any moving parts some are easier and some are harder.... Sweet thanks fellas...I should be picking it up Saturday
  12. Cool I'll keep in touch with you for the rebuild and what parts to pick up....
  13. What's up fellas Wanted to ask about this transmission...I've got a lead to pick one up for cheap with a bad 5th gear synchro that I will be rebuilding I got into a few threads that show that people have had problems with these transmissions.... Does anyone have any input?
  14. Truly...Broncos defense have showed up all year and have won games due to that fact... I'm not a fan on how cocky cam newton has gotten for 1 decent year...but their defense is beast! Kuechly, Davis, Norman have been above average all year
  15. Your surprised they beat them? I know guys say if it's betting money don't bet against Brady but finally!!! Coming from Miami it's about time he loses! Whooo!
  16. Looking good looking good!
  17. Your planning to clean the inside of the diff? I'm not sure you would want to do that unless your planning to regear and rebuild the whole axle... If your leaving the gears and trac-lok alone then just clean the exterior of the axle and leave the gears alone... Cleaning it may defect the meshing parts(pinion/trac-lok/bearings/).....
  18. Nice! Jeep is looking clean! These trucks looks really good with stock flares...wish I didn't cut mine....
  19. What's up fellas Jus wanted to ask if the headlight harness upgrade for an xj will fit on a tj? Got a buddy who wants to get better output out of his headlights
  20. Man that prp bench looks GOOD! I was looking into their buckets for the Comanche... Does it involve a lot of custom work?
  21. Good luck man! Hope you get it...
  22. For future reference this thread will help you if the epoxy doesn't last long http://comancheclub.com/topic/38976-gas-tank-leak/?do=findComment&comment=393159
  23. Met up with freegdr (cherokeeforum) for a Jy run and no luck with parts... But got a side by side pic And noticed I was getting a lot of vibration up front...looked at my pinion and it's not good...which I don't understand because I put 4.5" coils up front the lowers are at 16.5" and the uppers are at 15"... I'm going to have to adjust them again...or at least the uppers for sure... Cell phone angle finder showed it at 4 degrees and read online that it should be at least from 6-8 degrees... So I took off my front driveshaft until I can get it all dialed up.... Here's a pic of my pinion angle you can tell it's off...
