  1. If you did have something to worry about.........Krusty would be under the jail by now.
  2. A lawyer here at CC.........you'll be waiting. I don't think you have anything to worry about. As long as you are not selling it as a brand name part......ie.....Mopar. Nobody cares.
  3. I would do one of two things- Leave it alone. Or Danish oil. Top-coating will destroy the sign. Just my opinion.
  4. Good god man..............that was painful.
  5. Having done the 'drill out' BS................ Spicer to my door for $47................shop long and hard. Replace the yoke.
  6. New carpet is what? about $180 to your door? Why would you bother with a 30 year old rag?
  7. Writeup or no writeup............. I've done the swap. I've had the benches out and the buckets out tooooo many times to mention..................... I cannot imagine doing this swap with the brackets still bolted to the floor. And.......at some point you'll have to address the brackets/floor anyway. Now, now is the best time.
  8. I hope my seats turn out that nice. Good looking truck.
  9. Will buy or trade. PP at the ready or speaker brackets with speakers. If trade, each pay shipping. Otherwise send me price shipped. This is for a mock-up for custom gauges...........non working is fine. But complete and solid with full gauges. Renix or HO era...........does not matter. Thanks
  10. Longer links. Raise the SB up about four inches or so, you'll see it move away from the spring.

    My favorite!
  12. Precisely. I have spent months looking at head units. I have gone through 4 head units. All sound like $#!&. Before I made a choice for a fifth, I set in stone two factors, must be mechless, must have the latest version of BT. It also had to have 5 channel preouts. No bells and whistles, no BS. The only other head unit I could find was a Sony- It may look more appropriate or indigenous but with a $1500 price tag and mixed reviews............hence my second choice. Function over form. I'm not interested in a head unit that looks at home but sounds horrible. Nor am I interested in a 30 year old head unit just because it came in a Jeep from the factory. I already cheaped-out on the sub........I'm taking a step back. The Memphis with the homemade box is going to ebay along with the old Eclipse amp. JL Audio, I've decided on an active sub and a high-end 4 channel amp. With what hearing I have left.............I intend to enjoy this one. There is not much to choose from for single din (that isn't junk), double din is out of the question, I see no advantage in that at all. I intend to get a floor mount for my tablet, far more power from a tablet than any double din on the market.........hell, even a good phone makes DDs seem silly. The Fusion has good reviews everywhere I looked.
  13. Others have used a 4.0 pump to run a 2.5...........so I have read. It's a volume issue, not a pressure issue. The regulator is in the TBI, 14psi, and it should handle the additional volume, apparently it does.
  14. Headliner has been fiberglassed on both sides. Ready for upholstery.
  15. BTW, I bought a set of aftermarket replacement grille and doors in chrome..........they soooooo suck! Paint, it's what I got.
  16. Thanks. I have NOS tailgate JEEP decals that are OEM Sterling color. I had the paint shop color match the decals, that's how I came to this color. (not ideal but it's what I have to work with, I had shop tint a bit of blue to the color match to feed off the blue pearl) What I need to do is decide if I want to go to the work of masking and painting the insert area black. Grille and doors and tailgate handle came out OK, but I will wet sand and reshoot these next weekend.
  17. Has anyone done a grille a solid color other than black? Any pics?
  18. It's the other way around. The restoration/custom market is drive by what's available, and what's cheap. Vans were for flower shops, painters, carpenters.......etc, in the late 60s and early 70s the hippies picked them up cheap, 10 years later we had the custom van conversion craze. Same with trucks, prior to the mid 80's, trucks were for blue collar people, undesirable. Who knows? maybe it was the Fall Guy, then the mini-truck craze.........but now, trucks have replaced the Cadillac, best sellers. If the OP is seeing more station wagons, it's what's available, it's that simple. There are no more Camaros, Chevelles, Mustangs, Chargers.........etc. Will we see a resurgence of station wagons 15 years from now? WTFKs?
  19. People who can, do. People who do, don't ask how. I used to argue with people, then I realize that everyone has to learn on their own. There are also a couple of reinforcement plates within the frame rail (I ran wire through the frame), no one is going to run exhaust through the frame. Fuel tank at the rear, tank from a Chevelle or Impala or other 70s car hung from the rear x frame section with the filler door in the floor of the bed..........something like that would be easiest to fab........and most practical. But then you lose spare tire.........have to fab a proper door........etc.......... Suggest to someone here that they buy a proper transfer tank that bolts in under a tool box at $1000+++ ............watch their eyeballs bleed. Everyone want's something for nothing. Then, there is this- https://www.overtons.com/modperl/product/details.cgi?pdesc=Scepter-Portable-12-Gallon-Fuel-Tank&i=321079&CAWELAID=120030620000069287&s_kwcid=adwords__&gclid=Cj0KCQjw6pLZBRCxARIsALaaY9ajdByrc2NmpMlKA1aNZo0ry45zJvR-drEq-EYeiq2-RnoUumNyQuAaAtMTEALw_wcB Two will slide under a tool box, plumbing is another matter but that is easy.
  20. Reinstall the old sender, it was less inaccurate. I have no faith in these old factory senders or gauges. It's showing you have pressure, just not accurate pressure.
