  1. All you are turning is the bearing on the clutch, if the clutch is not engaged the compressor will not be turning. The compressor won't kick on without freon.
  2. Barring a bad MC or booster........ The brake system is just that, a system of fronts and rears. As to the self adjusters theoretically self adjusting- wonderful theory until the adjuster wheel locks up and refuses to turn. Rear get no attention, generally. Remove drums, clean, replace shoes and cylinders if necessary. Disassemble adjuster wheel and wire wheel the threads to clean, lube. I adjust with the drum and wheel on, use a brake spoon to adjust while spinning tire with other hand until you sense the shoes begin to make contact with the drum, do both the same way. Bleed all four- pass. rear- driver rear- pass. front- driver front. I've got a whole bunch of brake on mine.
  3. Plug at the instrument cluster........that's my wild guess.
  4. Why not? If they fit, use'm
  5. Bleed and adjust the rears?
  6. 10 posts and not one horny joke. :brows:

  8. Tilt wheel? Cargo light?
  9. Pull #1 plug and find TDC then check against HB.
  10. The only ones I've personally seen with factory power are the 86s........don't know why.
  11. Stick a strew driver in it cross ways and give the handle a good whack whit the palm of your hand.
  12. Did you leave them with the impression that this was a project truck or second vehicle? Or did you tell them you are riding a bicycle until they get it finished?
  13. http://www.autozone.com/autozone/parts/Brakeware-Brake-Cable/_/N-8knm5?itemIdentifier=913261_0_0_ C1474 Fits perfectly and I see no difference in quality over the Raybestos that I ordered from Rockauto for the rear. Slice the body plug down the middle to reuse on the new cable and use Dawn dish soap to reinsert. What an absolute PITA.
  14. SORT of? Thats the understatement of the century right there, removing the cable from the bracket is a total B***H. I had the bracket completely out of the truck and it took me 45min to get it free. :laughin: The problem is that the little taps that keep it in place are spring steel (you can just fold them over) and pretty darn stout to boot. Use a 13mm wrench to compress the tabs and it slides right out. I replaced the two rear cables last night, went to step on the brake to test and the front broke.......talk about bad luck or no luck...... So, tomorrow the front gets replaced. I ordered three front cables from three different stores, all have different stated cable lengths for the short box...........go figure......maybe one will be right.
  15. I'm not far from you and I have someone to recommend but he will not be in the shop on Sat. How much longer are you in the area?
  16. Image Not Found Image Not Found Sitting in front of a body shop on my way home today.
  17. Sellers don't pay ebay for shipping costs. That's why they do that. I don't like it either.
  18. I did the headliner in our XJ last summer, cost me a $10 blanket at the walmart. The lines you see in the image is not seen in real life.
  19. He used to advertise on CL, don't see him now. Might look for something close and trim to fit http://charlotte.craigslist.org/pts/4374839549.html Or, if it were me and I had no other options......I'd pull it out, clean it, try to return it to its original shape, then fiberglass it.......2 layers..........then new foam and new headliner.
  20. There is someone in NC that is doing reproductions of the MJ headliner....complete with form. I'll see if I can find him....or you can look.
  21. Not to hijack someone else's thread....... Pressures stated here- http://www.jameshalderman.com/links/book_adv_eng_perf_5/s_and_c/Fuel_Pressure_Specifications.pdf Fuel pump- http://www.summitracing.com/parts/sum-g3138/overview/ In my case, finding a 15psi regulator is expensive, I bet there are cheaper ones- http://www.summitracing.com/parts/aei-13204/overview/ But for you MPI guys the regulators are cheap........30-70psi adjustable. The question is- Why not bypass the existing in-tank fuel pump and run an external with regulator and never worry about it again?
  22. The mirror can be found new or used for Cherokee 84-96 Take off your door panel and figure out what broke, maybe a clip or the cylinder.......all parts are replaceable........new.
