  1. On the website, those part numbers do not show individual components. It shows the full set. Did you get a name for the sales agent?
  2. 87 MJ 4.0 4wd 5 spd - still have 91 XJ 4.0 4wd 5 spd - traded in 98 TJ 4.0 4wd 5 spd - traded in 84 CJ was 4.2, now 4.0 (93 XJ), AX15 - still have Parts vehicles: 93 XJ (see 84 CJ above) 87 XJ
  3. Best way to fix it is to replace it with an AX15. Seriously. Don't waist money on it.
  4. So, it sounds like the engine ran and you were able to drive it. Have you checked your fuses? BTW: do you have a manual or auto?
  5. Need A LOT more info: Year and engine would be a good start.
  6. Agreed. There a many youtube videos that show how to line up, re-drill, and widen the holes. Totally changing the integrity of the flanges. Not something I want to do. I will inquirer TerraFlex.
  7. As dphillips indicated at the beginning of his posting: "I would like to make this clear, I tried doing the disc swap to my 88 and it will not work as per these instructions. This how to is 1990+ c clip axles only. In order to fit this swap to non c clip, holes will need to be drilled for the backing plate to line up. Most importantly about the holes, I did not do it, but believe you will have to tweak the center for the bearing pressed axle shaft. For sure you will have to for the 4 holes that hold the backing plates. However the brake lines and the booster will still work. " I am looking for a prefabbed backing plate in order to perform this swap. Other people that have tried this swap on a D44 have had to re-drill the bolt holes and widen the axle tube opening. The kits that I have looked at are $600 to $800. I can get most of the parts from a JY. I just want the backing plates prefabbed.
  8. Shift the pumpkin to the drivers side
  9. Suggestions: put on a front bumper, tuck the tires underneath bumper, draw a pumpkin on the axle I’m liking the direction
  10. No offense intended. Just an observation
  11. I’m sorry, that looks like a YJ. Shorten the grill teeth and put turn lights under the headlights. Also, 8 or 10 slots not 7
  12. Always like CC apparel. I’d like to see logos and color choices
  13. I would recommend you look before you buy. The AZ website says that neither pump fit an MJ - Renix or HO.
  14. No. The one I saw had no lift and no striping down the side. Yours is nice, though the driver had had short dark hair and glasses, if that helps
  15. Driving up the Jersey turnpike. I saw a white eliminator- 91-92. It was in immaculate condition. I tried to catch the driver’s attention but he didn’t look over

    Scored an AX15

I went back today to grab the fly wheel from the 96 XJ. Some (child of an unmarried woman) took the master/slave cylinder. They butchered it up - cut the hose off the slave end and master end. I had removed the slave off the bell housing. They unbolted the master from the firewall. All the person had to do was fish the hose and line through the fire wall. Oh well.
  17. Is the master cylinder level dropping after driving it around? Have you checked inside the cab for leaking of the MC over top of the fuse box? Maybe the MC internals are failing and fluid is getting past the seals.

    I left that behind.

    Scored an AX15

Went to a local P-n-P today. When I got there, they had a 90 XJ w/ a 4wd AX15 internal slave cylinder bell housing AND a 96 XJ w/ a 2wd AX15 external slave cylinder bell housing. I left with a 4wd AX15 with the external slave cylinder bell housing. The JY has a 2wd AX15 with an internal slave cylinder bell housing. I also grabbed the dust shield, internal shifting fork and the bearing retainer cover.
  21. Driver's side D44 drum/
  22. yup, BA 10.
  23. Perhaps I did not choose the correct terms. The studs on the tcase are in the same position on whether it came from a MJ/XJ/YJ. The "clocking difference" is the location of the holes drilled on the backing plate of the trans. These hole locations will cause the tcase to clock differently. (Lots of youtube videos on drilling new holes to align the tcase between models.) If the PO pulled the trans from a YJ and didn't drill new holes, this will cause the clocking diff I was bringing up. As Minuit brought up, the PO prob cut the floor to access the upper bolts.
