    I hate theives

Certainly cuts down on repeat offenders.
  4. I've picked up replacement mirror tops from the auto parts stores. They're not "factory," but they work.

Thanksgiving is coming soon. Let’s all start singing “Alice’s Restaurant." They’ll think we’re a movement!
  6. Mine used to have a dealer installed liner. There was no lettering on it.
  7. Been there... Done that... Don’t need the t-shirt
  8. Looks like you have cable for a 4wd MJ. NAPA has the longer and shorter cables available.
  9. People can search their states for any LKQ salvage yards at https://www.lkqpickyourpart.com/locations/ I am near the LKQ in Mt. Airy MD and go there frequently. LKQ is a business. They cycle the vehicles through their inventory. Vehicles may only be on the lots for just a few months.
  10. I was at the local landfill dropping off stuff. While there, I saw another MJ doing the same. I stopped a chatted with the owner. He has an 87 LWB 4.0 auto. He is the original owner. I gave him a card and told him to check out CC. Hopefully he does and joins. BTW - Pete I need more cards. I am almost out.

I am waiting for the latte maker option. Honestly, how could GM not include this...and lots of cup holders. These are a must when I drive it to the mall.
  12. I was at a JY last year. There were 2 XJs with AX15s. One was had 4WD and an internal slave cylinder; the other was 2wd with an external slave cylinder. I left the yard with a 4wd AX15 and the bell housing for an external slave cylinder. It took some time and work. Be patient and search around.

  14. Junk yard. Any XJ from 84 to at least 96.
  15. I’ll save it for when I want to tell someone to “duck off.”
  16. Man cave... or House of worship. That is the question.
  17. I have a little rubber duck if someone wants it?
  18. So, the other day I stopped at the post office. In the parking lot were two 4 dr. wranglers. I'm in the MJ, of course. The two other Jeep drivers are standing alongside their cars talking. I go inside, get my mail, come out, and get in to my Jeep. One of the other drivers has already gotten in her car. She pulls in to the space next to me, rolls down her window, and says something to me. I had to roll down my window, also. She says to me: "duck, duck, Jeep." I said: "What?" She repeats it: "duck, duck, Jeep." She then tosses to me a small rubber duck. I said thanks, and pulled out. I finally looked it up on the 'net. There is a website for it; you guessed it, it is www.duckduckjeep.com. The idea, as I understood it, is to spend money on stupid, rubber ducks, leave them on Jeeps you spot in parking lots, and can earn points (for what, I don't know. Perhaps to purchase more rubber ducks?). I've known about the "Jeep Wave" for a long time, but this was new to me. Are there others here who were/are as ignorant as me about this new phenomenon? Or, have I just been living under a rock?
  19. I live just south of Carlisle, PA in MD. I would be there for just the day.
  20. Now that I have fixed and exhaust manifold leak, I hope the mileage will improve to ~20. I have been running 14 mpg. The REM was telling me that I was running in open loop with LT fuel trims at 166. I now run in closed loop and LTFT now running 114 (and dropping).
  21. Back in the 80's, I was a parts driver for a Toyota dealership. I had to run parts to repair/body shops and pick up parts from other dealerships. I drove a little, state-bed pickup all around MD-DC-VA. That was when I fell in love with little pickups. When I graduated college, my girlfriend (now wife) bought the MJ new. She drove it for approx. three years until we bought a 91 XJ. Then that became her DD. I drove the MJ as my DD. I fell in love with the MJ/small pickups again. If there was no MJ, I would have probably bought a Ranger, Explorer Sportrac, or one of the smaller Toyota/Nissan pickups. I am not a fan of the "full-size" pickups.
  22. What are you looking for? ECU and/or wiring harness? I have a couple ECU: 87 ECU auto and 89/90 ECU auto. (I have manual ECU, but not for sale.)
  23. As long as the rest of the truck comes with it.
