  1. What Fiat says: you need the brackets to mount. A second set of hands would help, also.
  2. Fay-Weston bumpers are about as close as you can get. Old v. New
  3. to OP: Best to get a full parts XJ.
  4. I've pulled the dust shield also. It involves removing the fly wheel.

    Jeep vs Bronco

You should have thanked him. He saved you.
  6. Your best bet is to search junk yards or a parts XJ for all the addition parts needed. Look for a 94+ XJ with 4wd. It will have the external slave bellhousing. You should get the Tcase also. The tcase with you BA10 will not mate up to the AX15. Also get the cross member, transmission mounting bracket, Tcase shifter linkage. The AX15 from a 98+ XJ will have a lager input shaft tip, so you will need to change the pilot bearing/bushing. If the AX15 comes with (or you convert to) an external slave cylinder, you should swap the clutch disk/pressure plate. (The pressure plate is the same for a BA10 and an AX15 with internal slave cylinders. The PP changed when the AX15 switched to external.)
  7. If the rear fender flares are in good shape, someone on CC was looking some. Can you access the fuel tanks? Grab the fuel pump/sending units. Cab side vents. interior trim, especially the rear panel. B pillar lights. Parking brake pedal. Cab - bed light. rain gutter trim pieces Rear taillights
  8. If it fits you, get it. Ride it for a while to get in to shape, then buy another bike that is more suited for technical trail riding. I have 5 bikes: 3 road, 2 mountain.
  9. I am Roady with Campy components, so I may not be the best for MTB advice. That one looks like a 2019 model. It would have retailed for $800. 45% off a 1 y.o. bike is not too bad. Is the picture the bike for sale? The saddle bag and bottle cage are added goodies making the price even more reasonable.
  10. Felt is a good name brand. I don't know about that model. Contemporary bike geometry is measured differently than previously. MTBs are measured differently than road bikes. The disk brakes are nice. What are the components? Probably Shimano, but what group set? The bike pictured looks like it is set up for gravel roads and light trails.
  11. The on-coming vehicle in the opposite lane is a Jeep. It looks like it may be an XJ.
  12. the wire is for a bed light, not a brake light. Some where on here is a thread for a company that supplies head liners. Try the vendor section.

    Jeep vs Bronco

My prior experience with a Bronco II (Broncette) was in '88. i got a rental when I was in CO. My wife and I were driving around the state doing tourist things. On one trip, we were driving an old railroad bed converted to a road. We were crossing a causeway between two mountains. The road bed was not smooth. The Broncette was bouncing all over the road. On either side were steep embankments down hill. The state did not believe in guard rails. I slowed down to a VERY slow pace to get off the causeway. After that experience, neither of us were impressed with a Bronco. So far, from what I've seen, my opinion is unchanged. My 2¢.
  14. Is that the "grassy knoll" in Dallas, TX?
  15. I have one from an 86 that came with the blue plug.

  17. Replace lifters, push rods, and rockers, while you're in there. My 2¢.
  18. Radiator coolant temperature switch?
  19. Is that the original BA10 in the bed? If it is, that's a plus that it is already removed. If the seller insists you take it with the sale, ask for $500 off.
  20. Looks like the Red trail from TN to NY passes close to me thru MD.
