  1. I know what you mean just like when people call a Mopar sure grip a "possi" :fs1: , or a 6 pack set up a " 3 deuce" :thwak: or pronounce the number 50 as " fiti" or the people say " baby daddy" or "baby momma" :ack: . Sorry but yes if it wasn't illegal to back hand the $#!& out of people when they annoyed you mine would be down to the bone.
  2. The XJ one is exactly the same as the MJ one, I bought one on ebay for less than 20.00 shipped. Where are you located?
  3. The cluster swap is the best "kit" you can buy. It is plug and play. Just get the correct one for your MJ from the same year/engine XJ. No muss, no fuss. It just works. :agree: I wanted to do a complete " custom" gauge cluster set up on my MJ, but after figuring out the cost I was discouraged I went the route everyone on here recommends and I am happy. To answer your original question though, no there's no one that makes a readily available kit. ( at least that I know of)
  4. :agree: I pulled mine from a junkyard complete with hardware for a little over 10.00. Be very careful and DO NOT OVER TIGHTEN.
  5. WTF ? :teehee:
  6. That is a nice collection !!!!!
  7. I collect Mopar Hot Wheels and 1/24 ,1/25 scale model cars.
  8. I've always wanted a Jeep SRT8  there's something about them that's scary yet elegant, like the old Plymouth GTX advertisements used to say " It's an iron fist in a velvet glove" :driving:
  9. :laughin:
  10. Funny you bring that up I'm a member on that forum as well, i have a 66 D100 short wheel base swepty myself all original 318 poly 3 on the tree, its my other project that unfortunately gets the back burner since my MJ is my daily driver and gets priority for any money that becomes available. BTW I'm talking about the A series trucks, I'm not sure if they were actually based on the vans or not.
  11. Good question, guess I like things that are off the beaten path ( Comanche  ) I feel like you have much more of a "bare canvas" to work with or maybe it was Bill Maverick's Little red wagon that got me hooked :???: ,can't quite put my finger on it but i wouldn't pass up the chance to own one.
  12. I've always really liked those trucks but have always wondered how they would be as daily drivers, has anyone in the forum ever owned one of these? I would probably trade my MJ for one in a heart beat under the right circumstances, I'd do a 360 magnum/ A518 3.90 combo on that thing, what do you guys think?
  13. this Also flux will help draw the solder into the wires at a lower temperature and create a better connection. X2 on both of these comments, trying to solder without flux is a lot more difficult.
  14. or titty bar  (o) (o)
  15. Stick a 4.0 in it
  16. Don't know if any of you guys are tool fiends like myself but I thought I'd share this with you guys, I know they're not Snap On but the few Titan tools I've bought have been a really really good bang for the buck. :wrench: http://www.summitracing.com/parts/ttn-17366 http://www.summitracing.com/parts/ttn-17366
  17. Cool, I'm also a member on that forum ( even though I don't own an A body) they're a bunch of great guys and agree you can find tons of info.
  18. I had a spare piece of 3 1/2" cold air tubing and simply deleted my air box and clamped a KNN cone filter directly behind the driver head light, I'm not sure if it made a difference by itself in power and MPG. but sure as hell sounds waaaay better at WOT :D
  19. I have done it before, the thick rubber Washer with the 8 smaller holes goes on the "white plastic end" of the fuel pump. The other black rubber washer goes on the "black end" of the fuel pump, the white plastic " C " is just a spacer to compensate for the shorter length of the fuel pump in order to mount it correctly to the sending unit assembly that goes in the tank, I remember I had to trial and error mine a bit and had to actually trim it just a little for clearance, the thin big round rubber washer is for the lock ring for the sending unit and the piece of hose and clamps are pretty obvious, I don't remember if I needed the longer connector and extra plastic clip but a little creativity is required to make it work
  20. I'm using poly bushings on the links and the frame, I noticed a difference in handling and no squeaks so far.
  21. :fs1:
  22. good choice, make sure you get some high quality intake manifold gaskets though that's a weak link on that engine.
  23. I had hood spacers installed last summer and noticed a difference in temperature both sitting in traffic and while moving.
