Morning, I'd love to get an idea of how many Factory Diesels are still around, from my research there was only 30ish know Comanches and I never researched Cherokee numbers. Has anyone ever contacted Chrysler to see sales numbers in North America? Anyhow I'd like to see whats still out so post up yours if you own one or has seen one for sale, any info so there can be a rough number on how many survivors there are. I'll start with mine that still isn't running but I am getting closer,.. 1986 Metric Ton Turbo Diesel Blue on "Old man pants" blue interior.

I want a plow,... don't need it but I want one.

In Calgary I had my bumper repressed after a collision and it looks like new,... it was very affordable compared to the alternatives

On the 1998 Jeep Cherokee 4.0L Auto 4x4 (stocker) I just did the fully welded dynomax Ultra Flow muffler (PN 17512) and the ugraded tail pipe that comes in their cat back system (PN 55014). I wanted a bit more growl which I got with this combo, what I didn't expect is a gain in MPG. In the city I have been seeing as much as 3MPG gain since the system went on according to the data log from dash comander. No real hiway data to share and no dyno results, it does feel a bit more peppy but I also did a trans filter and fluid when I id the exhaust. The MPG gain could be from the trans service or a combo of the two repairs. Seat of the pants dyno says it helped it breath a bit ;)

I recently aquired a 1986 Metric ton 4x4 Comanche; Parts wernt that hard to find VIA rockauto, got a whole gaskett kit, timing belt in a few days and at a good price. Parts shipped from great britan; as for working on them keep in mind mine has yet to run but with my limited diesel knowledge its been pretty smooth.

So do I put my name? Or put a flag for how many Comanches I have? Or a flag for each jeep???? Lol logged just me in lol

Any of you gurus have anothe rpart number for the Maifold to Turbo gaskett? This is what I have: T0695216 Superceeded by J1038464. Or is there a simular gasket used on a car/truck that I can actually get parts for?
