  1. You guys are weak...;) Thats a 7' mower, and there is another that is a 9'er. If there is one tractor/mower combo, you can easily spend 6 hours going around, and around, and around and....
  2. If you want narrow, gets some 34x9.5s. I think my wheel is around 5.5" wide. Yeah....they're narrow. My next tire will be in the 39ish range, and I don't want a narrow tire.
  3. This has been bugging me too. I had no idea what long/short was. I thought that the block was physically larger in a long block motor  I r smart!
  4. Yes it has. I hear he's building another one.
  5. I just put a sub woofer in between my buckets. No fussing with brackets, and I retain the comfort of an arm rest. You can see it in this pic. Oh, and buckets FTW.
  6. As do I!! Thanks!
  7. Eagle, when I said take sample pictures I didnt mean get them printed. I assumed you had a card reader (perhaps I am wrong) hooked up to your computer. If you do have a reader, you can just pull the pics off of the card and preview them on the computer. Use Microsoft Image Viewer to zoom into the pics and get a closer look at the detail. At least thats what I do when I take pics. It'll be easier now that you have the manual. Good luck! ;)
  8. I have a 4MP digital camera, and with a 1gb stick, I can fit about 300-400 pics on the card with the highest setting. Eagle, why don't you and your wife take some pictures of detailed things, such as a pine tree or a rug on different settings and compare them under magnification. See if you can use "fine" instead of "super fine" You might not notice a difference, and it could save 512kb-1mb per pic. Just a thought.
  9. Just make sure you get a bottle of CO2/argon from a local welders supply store and use it instead of fluxcore wire. The only time I use fluxcore is outside on a windy day. If you have 220V get the 187 it is well wort the price difference. Free shipping and the free welder cart is a good deal. I very rarely weld indoors. Even when I do, its in a 3 sided garage with no door. The rest of the time its outside. I'm not sure that a bottle would do much good for me...it would probobly just blow away.:dunno:
  10. XJ and MJ floors are slightly different. Sherman's has the XJ pans, which will require a little modification to make work. I have no experience with Sherman's...this is just what I've read.
  11. I had my eye on a Hobart Handler 187 welder which is a 220v unit, but after some consideration, I think that I might settle for the Handler 140 unit. It is only 120v, but that makes it very portable and easy to use around the house. My neighbor has a 220v Lincoln Arc that I use all the time, so I would use that for really heavy stuff. Most of the welding that I will be doing is cage work, and nothing over 3/16. When I start to weld my axles...I'll take them over to my neighbors place to burn them on with the stick. Oh, and the 187 is $650 from Northern tool, and the 140 is $450. Free shipping on both.

  13. Check out PORC. Last time I checked, I could get 1 ton gears for under $250...for BOTH a D60 and 14b.
  14. That guy is on NAXJA if I'm not mistaken. He should 4-link it to get the power to the ground better. It would stop that body roll.
  15. Make sure that both TPS plugs are connected. The TPS also controls shifting of the tranny.
  16. All I see is an ad for Ford tires/rims for sale. "I am selling my factory wheels and tires as I no longer need the tire size is 265/70/17. 3 of the tires have decent tread and the 4th one needs repaired. If interested call 515 494 5373 William."
  17. Join the club. I believe that my LWB, Auto, 231 rear d-shaft measures 48.75" u-joint to u-joint center.
  18. Thats what I suspected. Thanks for the help guys!
  19. I don't keep my tire under the bed, but my friend does. Neither of us has any idea which tool to use to un-wind the cable. Can anyone take a quick snap shot of what it looks like to see if we have it? Thanks.
  20. I did DD it when my XJ broke down, and I drive it to the trails. I don't really mind it. But if I was to do it again, I would move the switches closer to make it more convenient (like you suggested).
  21. Get a ball joint press from Advance Auto (if you have one close to you). The kit is quality, and aided in my ball joint replacment. I even broke it (but it still worked fine) and they didnt charge me for it. Oh yeah, its $150...but you get 100% back when you return the rental tool.
  22. Hey CW, if your motor happens to die from this freezing coolant...I still have that 4.0 that I got from you back in 2005. I never really got around to doing anything with it, and would sell it back to ya! :brows:
  23. The Comanche is 75% Cherokee. I spend time on jeepforum.com and NAXJA.org. You can find tons of info there, as well as on this little corner of the internet.
  24. Hot damn! 8) That is a tasty burger!!
  25. Walmart?? Oxy Clean guy?? :jump: Junk and junk. Don't waste your $$. Billy Mays!!
