  1. i paid right at 80 bucks for my two Z71 front windows to be tinted to match factory. 15% tint. pretty straight forward. they told me what the deal was, paid for it, watched them do it and 20 minutes later i was gone. sucks because you can't roll down your windows for a week (5 days)
  2. in that situation i believe a front locker would have been better but i completely agree with this but as long as you werent alone is the main thing. never wheel alone. even if you think its just a nice cruise around some local trails. $#!& can and will happen when you don't expect it. a winch will remedy some of that factor but its still not a smart idea.
  3. so your in for going with then right :D do you know how the KOA is down there?
  4. the rear quarters? just a straight cut along the body line. I'm sure the cut and fold method would give you a little more rigidity but i didnt think it would be enough to matter. held up great thus far
  5. nothing much going on still. painted the back side of the cab white and zip tied up some loose wires. the 4x4 shop I'm taking it to is a little behind right now, so the exo and tube bed are on hold
  6. your going to love those grapplers. i have the exact same set. those cab lights do the job but IMO leave something to be desired. still for the price, some light is better than none!
  7. I can agree about some requirements. All of those I'll have covered. Anybody looking to do anything else while out there besides crawling? Looks like theres tons of rock climbing spots near by, I'm thinking I might give it a go. Theres also rafting/kayaking thats not too expensive. Its just a thought but hell its not like your out there everyday.
  8. you got a good deal on that 8.25 and itll hold up well. now just throw some disc brakes on there
  9. i didnt see this thread before the other one, but that is not a cherokee, it doesnt even resemble one. i guess they were trying to go for a smaller version of the grand cherokee but thats no excuse for that p.o.s. to have the cherokee namesake

    Moving To Tn

you picked a good state then. we love our guns in the south. (not trying to sound redneck) but its true, we do. anyway your still a good drive from me but i know there are a few guys around that area on here
  11. x2. exactly what i was thinking. going in with knowledge and being able to throw it out there will help a ton. especially if your a good talker, you could have it for 2500 easy. just think, used car salesman haha
  12. Rock Krawler 6.5 coils and 4wd leafs. don't let the look fool you, without front flares it doesnt show the slight rake it actually has
  13. hell I'm on here running my mouth all the time. ill try to get out some cash to ya via paypal sometime. do you have any bottle coozies?
  14. both dates are fine. I'm kind of liking the 20th but either one would work. ill also be camping 95% so yeah showers are a must haha. i don't know how active the town gets but a campsite outside of town might be nicer to have. especially if theres something going on. which also means booking early might be a smart thing to do. but if somebody picks a site and books, might as well book with there to. after all this get together and wheelin' in general is about coming together having a good time. campfire included  :group beer:
  15. the upper conversion mounts are well worth the money. i hate the stud mounted shocks. personal preference though i guess
  16. PB blaster and an 1/2" impact. done. i guess where you guys get rust, might make it a little harder though
  17. how long are the polls going to be open? and how long are you guys wanting this trip to last? i can't see driving all that way for a weekend, so I'm going to try to make a week out of it.

    Gas prices

3.25 might be 3.35 now though havent looked today
  19. ive used this roll of gasket material my dad gave me. he probably got it from an auto parts store id imagine. works good and you can make all sorts of gaskets out of it
  20. i assume there will be at least one person with a winch in our crew..? better safe then sorry you know. i have plenty of straps but nothing like a winch on your side
  21. :fs2: ive still been looking for a woodgrain panel and can't find one or their just straight @#$%ed up when i do find one. id like the lighter tone grain ones though mainly because itll look good with my tan interior
  22. spartans in both axles here as well. no issues to date
  23. i know its a ways off but it'd probably be a good idea (for those coming or considering coming) to post up your rigs specs so (whoever) is making the trail list can get an idea of what to do and where to go. i don't know how the trails are out there and if there are bypasses on the extreme stuff because id hate to have to sit out a trail because of a few sections. i really don't care what trails we run as long as their fun and not insanely difficult that we're all going to have a hard time making it. i can go on and say now that ill probably still be on 33s and locked at both ends. d30/c8.25. nothing really special just your standard wheeler kind of rig. i don't mind pushing mine and its limits though. edit: i typed all that, then you posted which answered some of my concerns in this post. so ignore those parts ;)
  24. id stick with stock shafts in that 30. id rather break those all day long then a R&P. driveshafts are also a common fail once you do that as well
  25. yup it was the ground wire. threw it on this morning and it fired right up. should be taking it to the shop within the next two weeks to start on an exo cage tied into a tube bed. gonna be sick!
