Jeep Comanche Behind the seat Molle Panel!
jpnjake replied to ThatJeepGuy's topic in MJ Tech: DIY Projects and Write-Ups
Looking very nice I can’t wait to see it loaded up with equipment -
You can always also weld the holes closed if you don’t make them too big

new full taillight assembly coming from Oracle!
jpnjake replied to Pete M's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
The cheap and easy solution: I have some cheapo LED bulbs only in my reverse lights that just go in like the stock bulb with no modifications and they are bright as hell. Before I put in LED headlights, my reverse lights were brighter than my headlights -

jpnjake replied to jpnjake's topic in Member Projects: Other Cool Stuff
It was about 2100 lbs from factory so I’d say currently about 2300 lbs ish @Car Enthusiast -
Do you happen to have any pictures of where the brake controller is mounted, just looking for ideas for mine

1988 Comanche Camshaft Position Sensor
jpnjake replied to Luis H. Alvarez's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Check the vacuum line that connects the intake manifold and the fuel pressure regulator. Also take off the airbox hose, open the throttle blades and look if the intake is wet. If it is your fuel pressure regulator is bad -

The funny thing is they never moved the t-case shifter on the console or the emergency brake Handle for the late model interiors Also can’t forget the euro lower turn signal light in orange

we bought a pack of 25 on eBay, probably won’t sell any… But https://www.ebay.com/itm/314325037542 He sells them in packs of 10 (10$per key) I don’t know if you’d like to do a group buy, he has them in packs of 10 for 80$ If you buy 3 packs

No problem, those are just the ones that I had my eye on for a little If I see more you may be interested in I’ll shoot them your way

White 91 Swb That’s one in RI 3500$ 88 black Swb This one’s in Everett 9000$ (2.5l) 91 Red Swb In Connecticut, eliminator, 4000$
-
I see alot of swb mj’s on marketplace, I’d suggest looking for a 2wd and converting it if you want 4wd since 2wd trucks are the ones that live. Or buying someone else’s unfinished project isn’t a bad idea either

But doesn’t clean the valvecover

Damn it you beat me too it. It replaces the distributor as 2000+ motors are coil on plug also drives the oil pump like the distributor

As my dad said, I Installed my dads old BPI bumper off his 98 2dr, and installed fog lights on top of the bumper, the wheels and tires for now are the TJ Canyon wheels painted “Aged Copper” with 32” snow tires. Also replaced the belt because it was paper thin and Fixed my Charging issue instantly. I also installed a rear hitch rated for 6000 lbs, and a Gas tank skid plate. Finally my fan shroud had broken so my dad made one from sheet metal that imo looked extremely good, and is better than the original, And I Removed the airbox and replaced it with a round filter and heat Shield.

I picked up this trailer at the end of last year for a steal of 500$ so far I’ve gotten some decent work done on it, when I got it it needed 4 new tires(they are the original 1999 tires) the roof was caved in a decent amount from the record snowfall from about 10 years ago, and the roof needs to be sealed. But in order for me to use it, I have to wire up my MJ for an official 7 pin instead of just being tapped into the tail light sockets(blows fuse) and put a break controller in the MJ to haul longer distances and more weight. Here’s some pictures from when I got it to present day First day: First day working on it removed passenger side bench to fit more vehicles: Painted the wheels and power washed it, also took the curse off the dented roof: A Couple weeks later my neighbors tarp shed uplifts and attacks the trailer in a massive wind storm: A couple weeks later I measured and found that both my 4 wheelers would fit if I made one go under the main shelf in the front: so I cut a notch for it: Now Today, I was sick of the Original tires that wouldn’t hold air while I was moving it in the yard on short trips, so I took some old 30x9.5 Goodyear Wranglers on, and if you were wondering, the wheels are only 5”. They don’t fit too good and I’m not a fan of how tall they are but the fact that the trailer is more mobile and looks better in the yard is worth it.(these tires are temporary until I have the MJ sorted to tow with, then I will buy real tires):

Lol like an official junkyard thread Title: At The Jeep Junkyard? Grab these first It could include all the zj and xj parts that are easy replacement and upgrades for the mj Sort of like Pete’s Diy master list
-
Got it, was just a little confused about that. This kit has got me drooling over building a Race MJ. i can’t wait to see how they come out on peoples trucks, great work
-
When you say it uses the factory rear bumper, do you mean an XJ rear bumper on an MJ. Also super excited someone is finally making a complete kit, and out of ABS none the less! Very exciting
-
No problem, if you ever see one of those there’s lots of one off parts on them that are worth grabbing, door cards, seats, and lots more. I have xj waggy seats as well and they are the best seats imo
-
Wow I can’t believe I haven’t seen your XJ yet, that is sharp. Thank you very much
-
Yes… All of that is correct. 21slot was only around on 84-85 XJ Waggoner. sometimes they go for a pretty penny, lucky for me my dad spotted it in a pile of Jeep parts at a swap meet in the amc homecoming show, and we got it for a whopping price 30$. All being mine is a little beat up, and was covered in black spray paint, but just some paint scraping later and it was back to chrome! TLDR: Yes they are rare, I picked mine up at a swap meet for cheap, and they can be brought back to chrome if it was painted over previously.
