  1. Is there a write-up on this or could someone post a step-by-step please?
  2. Sounds like rubbish or troll-bait to me. IMHO The differences are more than enough to effect the interchangeability of various parts that are proven to be interchangeable
  3. I quit drinking booze so they won’t let me into Haspin anymore. You have to blow a .16 before they will sell you a ticket . LOL
  4. From what I have read the term “built in Michigan” is misleading. They are built in India but sent over here in Dis-assembled form in crates. They are then Re-assembled here. Among other things this avoids tariffs that complete vehicles are saddled with. It is a rebodied version of their Tarda ( I may be wrong on the name) domestic model.
  5. is it 8-lug or 5-lug? If it is 5-lug it is possibly out of an old Mopar and already has a 5x4.5 bolt pattern.
  6. This is interesting. Here in Ohio my Comanche costs me $66/year for registration. This fee can vary by location as each county can add their own taxes. Ohio has an insurance law but it is toothless when registering. Upon registering each year you simply have to check a box stating that you are insured . You do not have to show proof of insurance to get your renewal. If you are stopped by the police or are in an accident and can't show proof then you can get a license suspension. If you get caught driving on such a suspension then your car can be impounded..
  7. I went SOA. As I was swapping in an 8.25 as part of my 2wd to 4wd conversion anyway it was the easiest way to achieve the rear lift. I went with “anti-wrap” spring perches from Barnes 4wd and have never had a spring wrap issue on or off road. On road manners are fine. With your 4.5” front springs you can use front spacers of varying heights to get the front stance that you want.
  8. Is the official moniker the TJU like the unlimited JK is the JKU?
  9. So how much did the bastids charge you to continue using their site? $399.99 is what they want
  10. Use four rear TJ flares. Yep use rear flares at alll four corners to avoid extra marker lights. Easy to adapt and butt cheap. I can't post pics right now. Sorry
  11. You can replace that whole floor pan with a not quite direct fit XJ unit or you can patch sheet metal in. Chances are that your rust problem will turn out to be worse once you get into it.
  12. I thought the first Grand Cherokee was the ZJ? There were Grand Wagoneers prior to that but the FSJ Cherokee died without a Grand model, didn't it? Anyhow the FSJ Chero used both the Dana 20 ( '79-back) and NP207 ( '80- up) part time cases mainly on the stick shift models. The Grand Waggy did have low range options.
  13. Mine is simply " 91 MJ "
  14. Hope you are doing well.
  15. I am sorry for your loss
  16. Look at barnes4x4 or ruffstuff for DIY pieces
  17. I think he meant the rough country are 6.5" while stock is 4.25"
  18. JK D30's are prone to bending if it was pushed hard so I would be careful there. The waggy axles sound like a good way to go IMHO.
  19. That looks like a common JC Whitney aftermarket mount. Well ... common 40 years ago. They still sold them as recently as 5 years ago
  20. I run 32's with stock gears. I have no trouble on the highway or around town. Is it ideal? No. Is it something you can live with? Definitely
  21. It was founded by John North Williys and he pronounced it Willis. I have seen a few other factory films and the company was definitely Willys (willis) Overland. As to what FIAT named it.... meh.
  22. I got 5.5" with 2wd leafs
