The KL Cherokee was already on a FIAT platform that it shares with its cousins the Dart & 200. The Renegade is FIAT as well.
The Wrangler will be all-new in '18 and is not FIAT based.
I still see the truck coming out.
I used the same driveshaft but I am SOA. Remember to set the pinion angle to the tcase output angle if running single ujoints at each end. '02-'07 liberty for sure. Not sure about '08- newer.
Most adapters are 1.25" so your backspacing would go from the stock 5.25-5.5" to 4.0-4.25". Quality adapters to go from the stock 5x4.5 bolt pattern to the 5x5 of those rims will cost about $200 so figure that into the cost of buying those wheels.
I stand by my statement. I actually off-road and street drive mine and have without issue for several years as have many others. You have your opinion I have my experience. To each their own.
Even if legal to lift you can be sued in an accident anyway. You have altered bumper height, etc. and that could have effected the accident. Same with aftermarket bumpers and the rest. Stay bone stock if such things worry you excessively.
If the snout length on the 8.25 is different then the d35 your driveshaft may be the wrong length and putting pressure on the joints. Just a possibility
