91 Eliminator 83K miles refresh with NOS parts
JMO413 replied to Red Mistress's topic in Member Projects: Your Comanches
So that's what unobtanium looks like! Those are pretty -
My wife has Dodge Journey R/T. It is the 3.6 AWD. We both like it allot. The 3.6 has plenty of power. The rear doors are large and open 90 degrees or more. They are awesome to get kids into and out of. Third row is nice for kids and your extremely short flexible friends. But with the third row down the hatches area is huge.

You welcome. My wife agreed also.

I like it. The white stripe would look good on that color!
-
Do you have a fan shroud on the mechanical fan?
-
I can see almost all of the pictures. Great build your attention to detail is awesome! There just something about black Comanches!

Just ordered two of the short sleeve they come in 3x.

They both say they fit a Cherokee also.

HO exhaust manifold on a Renix
JMO413 replied to JMO413's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Yes you can delete the EGR if you're not worried about passing emissions. Doorman part #090-061 plug for the intake. Route66mods.com part#70978 https://www.route66mods.com/product/jeep-egr-delete/ This is both parts installed. -
And you would be surprised what the 2008-2009 fiasco did to the parts vendors. Discontinued is now a far to common term. After all that being said XJ or WJ.

looking for your Comanche literature

Is this what you're looking for? My book was published in 86. I think that link goes to a newer version. I should be able to scan the whole manual when I can get some time at work. -

My rear stud was what was broken I'm guessing yours is too the same. I justed welded a nut to it. Came right out. -
I think I'm going to try for less rust on my next one. Still have plenty to fix in the one I have!

It looks like it's trying to fold in half.

Well part of the noise was the cracked exhaust manifold for sure. Replaced it and the broken stud. The loud tick is gone just valve train noise now.

Mine is definitely quieter with the new manifold. Still have some valve train nose but the heavy tick is gone. I believe it was either the cracked manifold and or the broken stud. You can see where it was leaking in the gasket. It was definitely a problem. The new timing chain may have helped a little also. -
Agreed. If nothing else flip it.
