And if you going to change it all the ZJ is swappable. The main reason is that the ZJ tie rod is a solid piece not two tie rods screwed into a long hollow adjuster sleeve. When I replaced mine it needed all the tie rods and the ZJ parts are the same price and stronger. The picture below is the complete setup on my Comanche. It also gives you a little more room if you need to pull the front diff cover.
I used all the steering parts for a 95 ZJ from Rock Auto. I bought all Moog and all very happy with the results. I also bought Moog ball joints from Rock Auto. They were the best price I could find.
One of the guys that works for me sold one for $9000. It was rust free and had just over 100k on it. The only thing done to it was a 3" lift and some cheap mud tires and black wheels. That's Iowa for you.
Replaced my resistor today an now I finally have all speeds! The Mopar resistor is even made in the USA!! Did the additional ground also and my high is definitely improved.
Just read through your build. Mine sounds very similar to yours at this point. I had no idea how much could be wrong with a truck I drive 90 miles home. I still believe it was fate. I wanted a black truck with buckets and a stick. That's exactly what I got. It just came with a truck load of problems. Everything is fixable work enough time and effort!!
Thank you everyone for the input. I will order the centric aluminum slave cylinder. Aluminum has to be better than plastic. Not sure what master cylinder to go with is my last hang up.
Yeah external would be nice. The truck only has 109057 miles on it. I'm hoping the peugeot can last a little while. It looks like I can get the clutch set and master cylinder in Luks from Rock Auto pretty cheap.
