  1. Doesnt look like a bad one to start with so long as you didnt buy it for too much $$$. Welcome to the site!!!! If your plans go through and you do end up putting 33" tires on it, you might consider swapping out rear axles. Dana 35's arent much good for anything over stock configurations. Too many of us here know that from finding it out the hard way... Any Questions - just ask and you usually get an answer. Again - Welcome! Oh - one more thing - your grille is on upside down :clapping:
  2. Wow :clapping:
  3. That RE Trackbar and mount is the same setup as I am running. Seems to be a good one so far.
  4. Bye Bye Swaybar - its been nice knowing ya:
  5. Very nice! :clapping:
  6. Welcome to CC! Looks like you have a nice place to work on all of your "Thoroughbreds"
  7.
  8. I took a grinder in the interior once and I never will again. My windshield got burned and pitted from the debris flying off of the disk.. Shifter looks good!
  9. :dunno: All I know is what I see on the boards here regarding the D44 stuff. And all I have seen/heard was that it was offered from '87-'89
  10. Must have been swapped in. They only were offered as an option in '87-'89 versions... Someone helped you out!
  11. I'm gonna buy mine from the dealership or maybe Crown Automotive. Got a quote a few weeks back from bhlTaz that they were ~$45 at the dealership... not too bad in my opinion for the sense of security you get with a "good part"
  12. What resale? I've already found that the DEQ and I don't see eye to eye on a few things. Thats all I'll say about that... :rotfl2: I still have a hard time believing that residents up here in the Rust Belt actually PAY for the road salt that deteriorates our vehicles. Something just isn't right with that in my opinion.
  13. FYI - The D44 was not offered in 1991 versions of the MJ - Either someone has swapped that axle in the 1991 truck or it is not a 1991 truck...
  14. Once you get the frame repaired: Take an oil can and your last oil change worth of oil and dump it back in the truck through the holes in the frame. Make sure you park in the Wal-Mart lot to do it - lol - its gonna leak everywhere... BEST way to combat rust is to oil the heck out of everything! Michiganders who like their vehicles know this...
  15. Mine was so far gone it was starting to eat into the core support. I just cut it out and welded some angle iron back in its place. I retained the stock location and tray, but got rid of the rusty thing once and for all. Now it drains nice and free! My $.02 - its just gonna rust again so do away with it and fab something better up.
  16. I love CPS - actually no - they cause problems so I don't think I love them too much. I'm having problems with mine too - dang things. :wall: If you get a new one - I would suggest you go through a dealer or a high quality parts source. These sensors are such a vital part in the way our Jeeps are setup that buying a "made in China" version might not be what you want to do... Best of luck!
  17. Doesn't look bad for something to base a build on - how is the floor? :hmm:
  18. Impact Gun with our air compressor turned all the way up was the only way we got mine off... That Impact didnt like me too much after that! Good luck!
  19. I bet the snowmobiles LOVED seeing you out there... lol The get very MAD when you try to run on their trails up here in Houghton... Plus we gotta worry about Cops on snowmobiles up here. So basically - the trails are off limits when enough snow has gotten on them for the sleds to ride. Only when it melts can we hit them again... :wall:
  20. Loving the pics of new & old! What took you so long to put up pics?
  21. This sure is fun to watch. :clapping:
  22. Keep it up!
  23. I ran across this today, pretty interesting... http://www.allpar.com/trucks/jeep/comanche.html
