I wanted to go for it but the price was too much for the shipping. I'd have thought you'd be more salivating over the 2.5L stuff... :)

Now that I look at the truck, I think they messed up with their cataloging system. It looks like an '86 to me. Let's verify that...I just went off of the 1988 year on their invoice...

This is a junkyard truck that I recently purchased both tail lights and the black mini console from online. The VIN was included on the invoice when they showed up. The truck is pretty well toasted as you can see from these pics, this thing was in one heck of a wreck! The engine bay seems to have quite a few good parts left and the rear bumper looks nice as well. For the rear bumper - the guy I talked with on the phone quoted me shipping charges via truck freight on a pallet for $200 alone - nope not that interested buddy... hopefully someone local can snag up the rear bumper before it is crushed...

For all of the talk of filling rail cars with oil products and letting them sit - I work at a railroad and we currently have a plethora of empty tank cars (new 2019) stored on our unused tracks. They definitely are not full. Other areas this may also be the case or they may in fact have product in them. Regarding the latter - I'll just say that there are plenty of regulations out there for tank cars that have hazmat product in them and how they are to be handled, time they can sit idle, etc... The news likes to grab onto these things and run with them. Recently there was a story in a local newspaper here about our tank cars being stored full. The writer never contacted us, he was wrongly informed by someone who apparently "knew their stuff"... Everything on the internet is true...right?

Do you have a list of what is necessary to add cruise? I have a bunch of these parts from collecting them over the years, I'd be happy to part with the ones that I don't need and keep just one setup for my truck.

Montanamanche is missing as a polling option.

Welcome! As far as sourcing XJ parts as direct fits, the hood, fenders, doors, header panel and front bumper will transfer between models. The roofline and rocker panels are where things change, everything from here back is MJ specific. Please feel free to reach out for help, we’ve been there and can help things go quicker for you by taking a lot of guess work away, that’s what we are all here for. Good luck and have fun!

NOS Hood - $100 - Seattle, WA
500 MJ replied to Ls2xjcomanche's topic in Craigslist/eBay... i.e. Not Your Stuff
Yeah, the aftermarket panels just don’t fit right and they often are lacking items that OEM panels have, example - supports for structure and thickness of steel. I had an aftermarket hood on my ‘90 that a PO put on there. It moved in the wind when the truck went down the road and it had a horrible tin can effect when it got sprayed by a pressure washer... it went to the scrap pile a long time ago :) -

I agree on the color choice, very nice! -
Junkyard Truck located at Mitch's Auto Sales in Barnesville, GA. I purchased a tail light from this truck online and the VIN showed up on the invoice. I DO NOT KNOW IF THE YEAR IS CORRECT, the invoice only listed a VIN, no year of the truck. Let's see what the build date says and then move forward accordingly...

Did some more work on this recently. Finished off the sky lights and trim on the north side of the shed. Now I just have the southern wall to build similar barn doors for and put the skylights on. I ALMOST have enough boards for the barn doors on the south side, I just need a few more oak shipping crates to show up at work... :)

Rockford IL $ 600 Comanche with Roll Bar
500 MJ replied to Park13's topic in Craigslist/eBay... i.e. Not Your Stuff
Where do you see it saying $600? I see $650 OBO... -
Thanks, I am looking for an OEM one that’s got the same degree of “fade” to it as the ones I have. Also, China’s acceptable tolerances do not match my degree of detail, I’ve had some bad experiences with aftermarket junk not fitting up correctly. Thanks though!

Looking for a good used black rubber/plastic end cap for the front bumper. NOT looking for a painted one. Drivers (Left) side is what I need, part number is 8952000179. I have two good passenger side end caps and I’d be happy to offer one of them up in trade if it is of interest to anyone. Please PM me with what you have and we can go from there. I don’t need anything right away, this is for a future project. Thanks!

Looks like one hell of a platform for a trail rig to me. Dents add character! I’d love to have it closer to me for that $750 price!
