  1. Yes, those will work. My brother ordered the exact same headlights I put in my Comanche for his J10s and it fit both of them correctly. For what its worth though, from what I have seen and from what my brother has seen, everything BJ's has to offer is typically more expensive than lots of other places. It is a small company though, so there's that.
  2. I went back and looked at some of my old pics. It looks like my passenger side motor mount is behind the driver side mount too. I'll also add that I installed the rubber mounts with the engine. No sure if that will make it easier, but that's what I did.
  3. I'm curious as to how this will work out, especially if it helps prevent axle wrap too. I need to do something with the rear of my truck because it doesn't take much to get it to squat and it wheel hops like nobody's business. I know my truck probably needs shocks, but if that doesn't cure it, I might have to look into something like this. It should help a lot with load capacity too.
  4. Changing the title should have no effect on the follow feature.
  5. Sounds like a plan. Everyone here is always a great help!
  6. Ok, good. Just wanted to double check that you were using the proper transmission. It is usually easier to do them together, but installing them separately is fine too. Could you post some pictures of what is going on?
  7. You might be able to clean the injector that you've got.
  8. In WI, there is only one person at one parts store who I trust to look anything up. Usually I find the part that I need online and will call the parts store with the part number if I need the part soon, otherwise I just order it off of rock auto.
  9. You’re using the trans that was behind the 4.0, correct?

That almost looks too nice to use for parts.
  11. Sorry to hear that. I hope everyone was fine.
  12. Looks much better with the chrome.
  13. Pretty much all of the interior trim pieces are worth pulling, the rear window, exterior b pillar trim, rear fender flares, tailgate, rear bumper and brackets, pretty much anything that isn’t the same as an XJ part is worth saving.
  14. You’ve got the carbureted 2.8, right? If so, that looks to me like a mechanical fuel pump. It might just be the gasket that’s bad. If the pump still works properly, I’d just replace the gasket. It’s hard to find a good mechanical fuel pump anymore.
  15. The add a leaf will likely have more arch than the springs in your pack, adding lift. It will also stiffen the pack some, also resulting in lift.
  16. I don't think the tow rating changed based on transmission, but I could be wrong. The metric ton trucks are rated at 5,000lb towing capacity with trailer brakes, if I recall correctly. With the regular towing package, they were all rated for 3500, if I'm not mistaken.
  17. I think you've got a great plan there. Especially putting a 3 link in the front and ditching the leaf springs.
  18. You probably could do it, but I don't think it would be fun. I don't even love towing 2,000 pounds with my MJ, but my truck does have a little bit of lift and 31s and I think it needs shocks. And I also haven't flat towed with it, I've only towed trailers. In my opinion, I think the wheelbase of the MJ is too short and the rear end is a little on the light side to feel comfortable towing much weight at speed. I think that the TJ would probably weight more than the MJ and try to drag it all over the road, which a braking assist system wouldn't really help with other than when you're braking. And with the MJ being so light in the rear, I think it would be pretty bad on a 4-6 hour drive. If it were a 1 hour drive on backroads, it would probably be fine, but I don't think it would be very good on the highway.
  19. Looks like a good project. What do you have planned for it?
  20. Looks like Tim just linked one. I’ll take a look for others too.
  21. Sounds pretty rowdy for a little diesel. It's also good to see updates on this rig again.
  22. If I were you, I'd look for one that mounts to the top of the bed side, not the inside edge like that one. I don't think any truck bed is a perfect rectangle, so finding one the same shape as the MJ will be tough. One that mounts to the top of the rail will let you move it enough that you should be able to get it to work.
  23. I'm not one for red and I'm not typically a huge fan of the late model front end, but this truck wears both well. Funnily enough, two of my favorite MJs off of the top of my head are red. I'm exited to watch this video.
  24. I was going to say what has already been said, but also, check your rubber brake lines. The break down over time and will let fluid get to the caliper, but will not let it return from the caliper. If you let the truck sit and it rolls fine, but then after use the brakes get stuck more and more, I would lean towards it being the rubber lines.
  25. What I've had good luck with is cutting the wire off of the thing in the column you are replacing, then tape your new connector to it, and pull the wire through the column. Most recently, I had to do it with my whole turn signal switch, but I'd think it should work for anything in the column.
