    New Puppy!

Look at all the energy! I'm sure she'll make a great sister to the other pup.
  2. Shocks are a huge factor. The amount of lift and angle of the control arms are factors too. But the biggest part will come down to quality of the springs and quality of the shocks.
  3. Well of course! Only the best for that fine unit.
  4. There are vacuum ports on the intake. One of those should be for 4wd. I don’t know which one, you’ll have to trace your 4wd vacuum lines to a vacuum canister and then from the canister to the engine.
  5. The Eagle has landed. To this point, it has called Alabama, Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin again, and now Arizona home.
  6. No, the vacuum should be coming from a port on the engine, then likely going to a vacuum canister, and then to the transfer case. I would check it at all of those points.
  7. What is the vacuum at the port that it uses on the engine?
  8. Wow! That thing is beautiful. If you are interested in doing an engine swap, I recommend giving these threads a read.
  9. I see now. My dad went back to our tried and true method of tape measure and an old school angle finder. It was off by something like 3 degrees if I recall correctly. Problem is my parents don't have any alignment shops local that really know how to do alignments on solid axle vehicles anymore, so apparently they never touched the caster.
  10. He and I have gone back and forth on it for a while on the side. If I remember right, pretty much all of the steering and suspension is new from a different problem and it fairly recently had an alignment. From my memory, the only thing that changed after the alignment was the springs. But that's also going off of my memory, so I might be missing something.
  11. Agreed! My mother's JK had death wobble really bad for a little while, even though it was professionally aligned. My MJ with a tape measure alignment in the driveway has never had an issue. The problem with the JK was caster. And being that everything is new in this MJ, I think I'd start my looking at what the caster is and what could've changed it, like the springs.
  12. Some great scenery! Looking forward to the videos.
  13. I suspect that its the IAC. Be sure to clean your throttle body and IAC. If you don't have one already, I'd recommend getting an REM.
  14. For what it’s worth, I haven’t seen any on my January of 89 built 89.
  15. Wow! Great find!
  16. Hopefully the words were, "Get that Comanche done"! I'm glad that you didn't get too much damage internally.
  17. This depends on a number of factors, but I’d start at 32psi.
  18. Any plans to add something that would help protect the header panel?
  19. If I were you, I'd start with the @boxyjeep speaker brackets and new, larger speakers.
  20. That is a terrible spot for a ground, no wonder that it got rusty. Funny that it’s always the ones you can’t see that go bad.
  21. Cruiser is rolling over in his grave seeing that . Glad you got it fixed though.
  22. Make sure you read through some threads on the full 97 swap first. I know the pedals are difference and the steering column hole of the firewall area needs to be changed. Honestly, with the REM, I think that Renix is just as reliable as an OBDII Jeep. Even the later XJs are still becoming old cars at this point, so before long, I suspect that they will have similar issues that Renix is known for.

Best MJ story- Going to the all breeds jeep show for the first time and connecting with a ton of people from this club and hanging out all night with everyone. CC is Awesome! Why? Just the whole community aspect and people willing to help out or just chat. Running into someone from the club out in the wild and chatting like we've been friends for a while. For some of our more... seasoned members, yes, this truck has been MJOTM before. This truck has gone through tons of changes since then, between the repairs and the upgrades. Here is the MJOTM thread from nearly 5 years ago for anyone interested:
  24. That is pretty obnoxious looking. That said, it would be a shame for this truck to be restored. What a time capsule!
