  1. When I made my comment 18 minutes ago. Whoops
  2. Thanks! I will definitely need to look into the local laws. Do you find them on Marketplace, Craigslist, or some other site? Most of the XJs in my region are turds.
  3. Any cars, any price range, what cars would you want in your garage? 1. My blue MJ 2. White MJ Eliminator 2wd with a 5.3 and a 5 speed 3. Red 4x4 MJ MT with a factory sportbar 4. Orbit Orange 70 Judge 5. Saturn Yellow 70 GSX 6. 69 Corvette with a 427 7. 65 Impala wagon with a 409/4 speed 8. 69 Charger 500 (Hemi and 4 speed of course) 9. 70 Superbird (Hemi and 4 speed) 10. 32 Ford 2 door sedan, stock 11. 75 GMC crew cab long bed SRW k30, big block, stick
  4. You seriously have no clue how jealous us rust belt MJ owners are of everyone else. Where I am, you see trucks that need their frames repaired with $200,000+ miles for $1,500.
  5. If a vehicle isn't rusty, its a perfect candidate for a restoration. When you restore a vehicle, you are replacing most of the high mileage parts anyways. If you read through my build thread, I did a restoration (actually more of a resto-mod) on my truck, and my truck was considerably worse off than your truck, granted, you do have higher mileage. Unless I find a good deal on a northern 2 door XJ or MJ, my next XJ/MJ restoration would be a high mileage southern/western truck because it is a lot easier to replace wear parts than body panels. That said, its your truck, and you want to wheel it, which is fine, I would wheel my blue truck too, I just haven't had an opportunity to yet, but my advice is don't cut the cab or bed at all.
  6. Where do you keep finding these rust free XJs? Are you bringing them up from down south or are you just lucky? Also, if you don't mind me asking, what is your typical purchase price vs sale price? I am curious as this looks like it could be a decent side "job" for extra cash.
  7. The thread that you posted above was a SWB truck. I would doubt that Chrysler would have a number in their system, just like there is not known number of Laredos, Pioneers, Eliminators, ect.
  8. There were no SWB MJ MTs. There seem to be quite a few out there. Your best bet would be to go through @fiatslug87's registry update, that would give you a fraction of them, but there is no way to know for sure.
  9. Love me a 327. Its my third favorite GM motor to the 409/348.
  10. LoNg ArMs ArE tHe OnLy WaY Just giving you a hard time, you will still have plenty of flex with short arms.
  11. I'd agree with the 31s. It seems to have a very similar sidewall profile to mine.
  12. Maybe 4.5" because it is still short arm.
  13. That chrome 10 slot
  14. Gun 97+ swap or 84-96 front end?
  15. Whoops! I want to know how that would happen! A machine hooked it perhaps?
  16. For an auto, I'd recommend a GM 700R4. Its a 4 speed auto with overdrive, but isn't electronically controlled. For a manual, I'd say AX-15 or NV3500, or, if money is no object, T-56.
  17. @Rusty Jeep, you may want to follow this thread.
  18. Click on the link in my signature. I have pictures showing my bed Repair.
  19. No rush, the truck is still sitting in the yard and will for a few days at least.
  20. I did not know that! I might have to give that a shot. Thanks! Please let me know if you do and how much you’d want for it. I haven’t considered making one because I don’t have a ton of time right now and want to get this truck road legal before I sell it.
  21. My Ugly Truckling has has no fuel filler neck rubber hoses and I also need the taillight harness, just the harness that is at the back of the bed. If you have any of these parts, please let me know.
  22. Facebook famous!

  24. If you want to work something out, I’d be happy to try to make a deal! My truck is from GA with an AZ bed. We are making it run right now.
  25. Good enough for me!
