  1. We need some good pics of that Olympic decal to be reproduced. Surprised you didn’t grab the body moldings.
  2. Ouch....thanks for that tidbit. You might have to experiment here.
  3. I pressure washed mine clean. But if you’re gonna do soap and water, I wouldnt want to get the mechanism exposed to the water. Id try to drag all the material out and put a screw driver in the gear mech to get it to not retract all of the fabric while it gets cleaned.
  4. I don't know where in the Phoenix area you’re looking but I’m over here in Glendale too. AZjeff will have more knowledge than I.
  5. It’s a cable assembly That could be weak or has failed.
  6. You might have to take the material completely off the seat to get to the whole assembly. Hang on I have a NOS assembly that’s bare that I can take a pic of.
  7. The buttons do interchange. The SJ got the fancy gloss black with the silver pin striping while the XJ and Mj got just the basic button.
  8. I also like how every black interior XJ I have seen has had the wagon wheel steering wheel. Not the sport style but the wagon. Sure the wagon is already black and easier to put in and I would imagine higher ends like chiefs, pioneers and Laredos with black interior had the sport type but I haven’t seen many with the sport.
  9. Well there went a good factory rear bumper.
  10. I think our registry will say how many started as RWD or 4WD as that could give us a ratio. But chances are AMC probably oriented the XJ more towards the 4wd segment than the MJ. Same could be said for the J-truck and SJ.
  11. Sounds like the CPS is the issue right now. Have you verified that is sending the proper voltage to the ECU to tell the ECU to turn on the coil to spark the plugs?
  12. It’s not a vacuum switch it’s a load switch. The ECU internally will switch off the compressor during acceleration but does not control the blower motor. Easy, the dealer set up uses a lot more wiring(mounted on the air box)and relays than the factory set up. The factory set up is integrated into the harness with no extra wiring. Oh and the mounting brackets would be different. It just depends on what was available or the belt set up.
  13. Lol, can’t wait to see the final product.
  14. As long as it was polka, I am fine with it haha. I’d say worthless but all vinyl are worth something. The center label with the fake gears are throwing me off.
  15. You can post pics from your phone. Or you can plug your phone into the computer and get them off that way or the best way I have found is to use OneDrive
  16. Mind posting some pics of the engine bay and the area above the passenger floor? I’m curious if you have a dealer installed set up or a factory set up.
  17. Yup it is an early version of that. Yes the bracket for the MJ is the same. You don’t really need the housing from the keyless unless you want to get creative and use it and put in a modern keyless module. But if your missing the original plate, it will work in a pinch.
  18. That is the keyless entry module. It sucks and uses infrared to signal to unlock or lock the Jeep. The first one isn’t he world really made by Renault and was first seen in the R5 I think. If you have the fobs then you are sitting on some gold.
  19. Ouch. Shame it’s not the bigger glass version as I have a spare big glass from my old camper.
  20. Whats bad is I have been trying to teach myself to let go of being picky for jobs. But I have only limited my search to other dealers parts departments right now.
  21. Thank you guys. My friend and I toured the Avondale automall today to see what was available. Some promising leads
  22. Lol if youre ever in the neighborhood around 59th and cactus, feel free to stop on by.
  23. Not to terribly far.
  24. What part of AZ?
