  1. Yeah expensive but it works and looks factory vs the crappy looking aluminum ones. plus it has a good quality feel.
  2. Don’t use the MJ as your vehicle on there. Use the XJ. They never have everything that fits the front half of the XJ to fit the MJ
  3. I bought mine off quadratec a year or two ago.
  4. Crown makes a brass radiator.
  5. Top is cruise control stalk switch connector Third and last is for the sentinel headlamp delay relay. I’ve got a few of those if you want to have that feature.
  6. No problem! This upgrade is a must because I know how crappy the belt adjustment system is on any 2.5L prior to 87. The later one will get you a fine adjustment with two bolts.
  7. No we don’t, but the state has switched to LEDs for all the street lamps and they suck enough to where I feel we need the extra lighting on when driving around. But I redact my statement prior though. That being said, if they’re supposed to come on with the marker lights especially on newer cars, then why the hell does my wife’s 13 RAV4 fog lamps come on only with the head lights? It’s like the XJ and MJ in this case.
  8. Not exactly. The closest there is for such right now is @SoCalManche build has the upgrade. I figured it out before he posted it and I sent him the bracket set up and he got it installed. I could do this to my 84 but I’d lose the PS level sensor for the system sentry. I only throw this out there cause I know how much of a PITA the belt tensioning set up is for the 86 model year and the new bracket changes the whole game for that.
  9. Lol. Are you saying you do or don’t? Long story short. The 86 manifold will accept the later 87-96 bracket that will make your life for adjusting the belt soooo much easier.
  10. Question for all you 86 guys with the 2.5L. Do you guys know about the upgrade for the power steering bracket?
  11. I can’t imagine it would be hard to take the bearing off, go to your local auto parts store and compare. I can also look at the parts manual and get some numbers on the bearings.
  12. Lol. The thing is, I already have black vent shades on.
  13. Ah yes, the late entry. I forget about that one from time to time.
  14. Damn......I really shouldnt but nothing is chrome on chunk except the window trim for the rear....hmmm.
  15. No. All the Renix years are 21 spline. He’s just helping you out with upgrading.
  16. No rebuild kit for the 207? Interesting. The 228/9 I could believe but not the 207.
  17. I tried this actually. It’s pretty damn tough and aluminum doesn’t like to flex. From what I could tell, it looks like the plastic was slid into place and then the aluminum was pressed tightly on the plastic to keep it from moving. Unless they used a glue too. But I didn’t see a glue.
  18. Probably style. Keep the front grill area looking clean and hide the lamps under the bumper. If you look at cars from that era and up to now, you’ll see that they started putting them lower like that.
  19. I did mine like it was from the factory. They work only when headlamps are actually on. They turn off when the brights are switched on and do not come on with just the marker lights. Kinda dumb to have fog lights on with markers. My wife’s 13 RAV4 is the same way.
  20. Done.
  21. Very. All aren’t made new anymore.
  22. Lol. They’re honestly not a bad look to the XJ and MJ. I liked mine for the time I had it on but now it would look odd with my brush guard.
  23. Where did you get the red bug shield? Did you raid my parts stash haha.
  24. I mentioned above when that happened. It was the HO years where the head lamp bezels went from the two to one. Basically the whole front header went from 7 pieces to make up the whole front face to just 3.
