  1. This is still acceptable. CPS does spark. ECU controls the fuel pump. Check the relay and make sure the relay is good and clean along with the block.
  2. You should be able to cook them to break them free. Not much there except some wires to be mindful of.
  3. Couple updates. One my friend was able to drill and tap the new holes on the manifold and it should work great! I can start putting the engine back together. We also got the seats redone and they are beautiful thanks to my wife being impatient and wanting them done haha. No the front pattern isn’t original but that’s ok, they look pretty damn good. No pic today. Sorry guys.
  4. Wow. And I couldn’t get anything on finding the channel for the fixed glass. Glass shop was not helpful. Chrysler catalog didn’t show it as a serviceable part nothin. Guess I should’ve looked at those kits.
  5. There should be a relay that controls the compressor. If that has failed the compressor won’t kick on. There’s also a pressure switch that if it has failed, it won’t engage but replacing that, you have to evacuate and recharge the system.
  6. Could be but that’s definitely not original.
  7. The blue one is for 4wd. Thats the charcoal canister for the gas vapors. Check behind the passenger side front bumper for the vacuum ball or football and see if it has lines still attached to it to where you can trace and find the broken line to go to the HVAC box for all the doors.
  8. I feel like I’m looking at superimposed stickers hahaha….it’s uncomfortable.
  9. That kit had one for the divider bar side of the fixed glass?
  10. And probably the rear door fixed window too.
  11. lol. Yeah I scoured alllllll over ever piece of media I could get my hands on to find this info. Got nothin. If I had to say there’s probably two sections for the springs. One set is 2wd, the other is 4wd. Divided up by both wheel base and duty and engine probably into the mix. Chances are they could also be ratings too. So say from the manufacture and AMC put together a specific set of ratings of pounds for each spring for each code. It is without a doubt a great question as to why so many codes for something simple as three categories of light, standard and heavy duty springs.
  12. Oh hey! Welcome to the mystery I’ve been trying to understand since ‘19.
  13. Shoot me a PM! I’ll look for a good one tonight and we can get the details ironed out.
  14. I’m not particularly in it to make money, just to keep 2.5Ls alive. Typically I ask for the core or original as a trade.
  15. Good info. But I also feel like not man folks have this manual. It was kind of a body shop reference manual than a dealer repair manual. Most folks won’t know where to cut or drill when they’re at the junkyard.
  16. I’ve got some original ones. I also rebuild the ISA’s as well. There might also be a delco one out there you can use. It’s like the next best thing to OEM.
  17. Clock and 87-88 radio is metri 150. Power mirrors are metri 150, there’s some connectors on the XJ rear harness that are metri 150. AMC used those suckers where they could in place of molex connectors.
  18. I saw this one. It’s a good idea. Thinking about it, I don’t think oreillys cars what container the oil is in, so long it gets dumped properly.
  19. What are you guys doing for these? My father and I have bought one or two from O'Rielly's and drain cap keeps busting on them. Is there a better pan out there that has no flaws or even a flaw that isnt the damn drain cap? Or hell if you know which pan I am talking about, how about a different cap that wont break?
  20. Seriously?! Only 4 years that rebuild box lasted me!? UGH! Well $200 later, one reman unit in and she is back up and going. This reman one feels tighter than the one I had rebuilt...Little concerning but moving on. It also is a ZJ one so it is not an XJ/MJ steering gear. Makes me so mad. And theres nothing wrong with the old box other than it just leaks out the steering pitman. I have no idea why either. Not like I hit the trails or anything rough. It has a skid plate too so protection is without a doubt there. Thats the only update I have. She has been attending car shows, last one was June 8th so they are all done until september/october. Even the cruise in is done till it cools off.
  21. Did you ever find the front main headlamp harness connector? AMC used it on the rear harness for the XJ as well and I think the HVAC control deck.
  22. I wouldnt doubt this. AMC used an assortment of stuff. I am willing to bet that packard didnt have a connector capable to carry the amperage for the lamps and fuel pump and ford probably did for cheap.
