AW4 torque converter?
eaglescout526 replied to 88mancheman's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
No. Neither of them are. The dealers that have them are back east and Chrysler is asking $1250.00 for these converters. -

AW4 torque converter?
eaglescout526 replied to 88mancheman's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Wellllll I found two dealers that have a torque converter but Chrysler’s price makes $200-$300 look like chump change. -
Ok I am no longer in need of one. My idea pulled through. Thanks everyone!

I’ve got a reminder set to do some VINs this afternoon. I’ve been slacking a bit on these. You’ll get a full build sheet and build date and body code. Build sheet will have paint code
-
That’s a good question. I think it does. It also has a wire coming from it for the seat belt chime. Hang on to that thought Fiatslug, I may have figured out something. I’ll let you know tomorrow if my idea falls through. I really appreciate it!

I’m in dire need of a drivers side bench buckle in charcoal color. Hell I’ll take any color just to keep me safe until I find the right color. I’m honestly a little scared to drive now but my belt buckle is no longer latching and i don't know how to fix such. It’s almost as if the spring mechanism inside just disappeared and is no longer latching as it should. If someone has a spare or a fix to these buckles please let me know ASAP please!

Thank you! I’m currently awaiting on everything to be shipped. You are indeed next, keep looking and asking around and you’ll get it. I’ll probably do some sort of write up for those with the 2.5L.
-
Interior side is the same. Engine side is wayyyyy different. V6 and I4. GM engine to AMC engine. Finding any Renix AC pieces for the 2.5L are getting impossible. See if you can find someone selling a whole 2.5L from 86-90 with AC. That might be the only way to source the AC on the engine side.

I think the whole Renix injection system on that truck needs to be saved. And call me crazy but I think that truck had a power antenna. -
Retractable Under Hood Light
eaglescout526 replied to Drahcir495's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Oddly enough my light says ford on it but has an AMC part number so there’s a range of fords and GMs that have that light. -

Wire is always hot. You could but it would need to work the same way that the factory hood lights worked. -

I just installed one not too long ago. Did you look on the passenger side of the engine bay? I found mine near the relays/blower motor/heater hoses area -
They do indeed! They look good and ride pretty good. Ain’t no Wagoneer but I’ll take it for the nice ride on the street. Thanks! That reminds me, I need to post all the restored paint details I did to the vents and the new dash bezel I got. Nice part was that the paint chipped easy, so messing up slightly was no big deal.

I’d keep that current set up in case if you find cruise control in the future. Crown auto still has the upper and lower half of those cables still available.

Front Skid Plate bolts???

Oddly enough those may or may not be OEM. Someone on here got an Omix one when they ordered one from them -

Team Cherokee has a few left. But you’ll be paying a lot for it. -
Ignition accessoory switch question
eaglescout526 replied to ruralandalone's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
As in when you press the horn and it sounds like you are repeatedly pressing the button? I had this issue and on the inside of the column on the turn signal switch should be a copper rod poking out. Mine was corroded and once I cleaned the top that makes contact with the cancel cam, horn works like it should.
