Do any of you guys use discogs to catalogue your collection/rescue ward?

The golden era of records. Theres a lot of good albums and compilations and singles that came from the 60’s.

I don't know the model of my Panasonic. It’s a tuner, phonograph, cassette and auxiliary and it plays pretty well. Funny you mention that exact Marty Robbins album as I had just found that at goodwill the other day. As far as the Beatles, I don’t like the post ‘67 stuff meaning the white album( I get so much hate for not liking that album) but their pre ‘67 meaning Revolver down to Please Please Me is what I enjoy if their.

Smokey I agree with you there, it does aggravate me that vinyls have made a come back, so for me finding someone else’s collection of goodies is tough to come across, unless it’s a collection of 10” Wahoo that sounds like a fun time, I’ve had thoughts about being a DJ at the only oldies station here in AZ.

I always see plenty of those component turn tables and they always look beat to hell which is sad. They make great cleaning stations though.

Really? That’s sucks. I have two turntables. One is a portable Crossley which plays alright for $80 if you are interested in that route. And I have an old Panasonic turn table from the 80’s(has a quartz display) that I found at goodwill that only does 7” and 12”. I got it for a steal for $7 and all it needed was a new needle. I actually really love that turn table. But there’s some decent ones floating around

I like that. Rescue them, that’s a good one. Just like how I rescue the old 78’s Most of my favorite albums are in the 50’s and 60’s and some into the 70’s as unfortunate rereleases. Shame.

Any body on here have a record collection? None of those new fangled cassettes or CDs, just the old fashioned stuff like 45s(7in), 33 1/3s(12in) and 78s(10in).

I did just do a 300 mile round trip this past weekend, so I could do it, I just need time off from work. Oddly enough I was just in Tennessee a couple weeks ago for the fourth. No. Don’t bother. There aren’t any. There’s a glitch in Chrysler’s system that says they can be ordered but they can’t be had.

I have a spare computer, wiring harness, servo, vacuum line to servo and some other pieces. The spare pieces I have was a kit and it was meant for '84-'86. I think the AMC salvage yard might have a few more pieces I can snag if you are set on installing cruise for your '89. Toughest thing to source will be the servo cable.

Actually. Installing Cruise on Renix is more involved than this. You need the "computer", VSS, Wiring harness, cruise control speedo upper and lower cables, Servo, Servo cable for either 4.0 or 2.5, mounting bracket to the firewall, stalk, vacuum harness for cruise, football vacuum cannister or another cannister, brake switch, vacuum dump valve bracket for either manual or auto. That's a lot of crap for just Renix. Took me about a month or so to source parts, figure it all out and install it.

Well. After Friday evenings trek and Saturday afternoons trek home, I did an inspection and everything is in great shape. No loss of fluids anywhere of any kind, I am impressed of what little red can do. She desperately needs AC before I go do anything like that again. Otherwise the trip wasn’t too bad, climbing hills though is not fun. I keep looking at RPM and gear ratio calculators with the current tire size I have, but I almost believe they are all wrong. Unless I truly don’t have 4.11 rear end, but this truck is mostly untouched and unmolested as far what she left the factory with. Which could bring me to a possible replacement of bearings and such in all the axles if they are indeed slowing down and increasing the work load. Brakes are fine so those are out as a possible hold up. 2.5L with 4.11 gear and AX5 at 65 for me in fifth gear is turning roughly around 3000RPM. And the REM shows me that my tach is accurate and google maps shows me speedo is accurate. So I’m quite unsure but I’ll do some research. (Upon further research it seems a lot of the 5th gear ratios are based on what the AX15 has and not what the 5 has. So after using a quick calculator already set up for such and using the fifth ratio of the 5, my RPMs are accurate. Won’t need to do anything about the matter now) here's what to expect in the future after this past trek: AC, Factory radio, Tow hooks, Rear bumper replacement, Lighted sun visor/vanity mirror, Tightening of the gear box, Hunting down the last of suspension vibrations(possible front spring replacement). Possible ideas for the future: factory style fog lights, Renix metal front license plate bracket, Replacement of bearings in axles.
