It seems like SWB bars are easier(and probably were a more popular option) to find than a LWB bar.

This is from the back of the Comanche Accessories outfitter booklet. It was entirely a possible option.

Wouldn't hurt to look, kinda would surprise me, but also Chrysler used the same brake pedal pad for their automatic cars as AMC did. Hell there's a few parts in the catalog that you can find with a Jeep number but supersedes to either an early Chrysler number or supersedes from an old Chrysler number. I'll do some digging. Ive often thought about the S-10 having the same set up but came up empty.

I will let my coworker know that a couple options were found. I have only seen one of these things in my life and it was at neighbors house and he kinda had it tucked away under a tarp for a while, he drove it a couple times to target when I worked there but I never got the chance to talk to him about it until he traded it for some 60's sports car, I think it was a Midgit.

Could be. But there are other things that can cause the engine to run rough. Start with grounds and a tune up and we can move on from there.

Usually MJ works for me as more of their parts will have MJ in the description.

Does anyone have one of these? Either rust free or not rotted out all the way? I have someone looking for one, they are currently out here in AZ and have not found one and they will be driving back to Illinois. Doesn't have to be something you own but if you happen to know where one is in say a junkyard or something like that let me know.

Sticker will have to look professional in Helvetica font with the Chrysler corp and Pentastar logo on it or for us earlier and obsessed guys, the AMC|Jeep corp and logo on it. Shame I have no way of making such sticker.

I like that idea. A simple sticker that says "This Jeep MJ or XJ is equipped with the headlamp relay harness upgrade"

I checked mine really recently. The only melted plug I ever found was my blower motor switch plug and that was replaced when I added AC. And I don't drive much at night so headlights are rarely used except in the winter on my way to work and that plug was still in perfect shape.

No the cylinder kit doesnt which is why some assembly is required.

I am the best way you can get all the older stuff. I can order them from Chrysler, I think they are back east and I will charge you how ever much they cost me to buy plus the shipping which I imagine won't be more then $3 to send your way.

Occasionally I'll snoop around in their stock but it gives me an uneasy feeling when I do so, so I did not take a look around their ware house this time. I looked where Ebrake pedals and mounting brackets are for accessories and didn't see any MJ parking brakes. I did how ever find a set of standard weight MJ leaf springs with the shackles too. They did not have any 242's in stock. I did grab a lot of stuff, mostly for the half a full console project for me and two others who are interested in the idea. I lucked out really well on this trip and found a complete lower dash bezel, intact, no cracks or missing hinges for the ash tray with tweeters. Was a good find as normally they are cracked due to the sun. Also found a keyless entry dome module variant. There is a 90 XJ there with power doors harness mostly intact except where someone ripped off the passenger door and cut the harness but otherwise mostly everything is in that one.

Wow. A Chry 8 1/4 with 4.10.
