  1. TPS adjustment sounds to be in order. The TBI book will tell you how to do that and its specs on where you want it to be in terms of voltage output to the ECU. NGK plugs are fine.
  2. Well done on the cut.

Awesome! They're good but time consuming but worth it.

I know its been a bit since my frosted flake chicken post but has anyone else besides 89 MJ tried it?
  5. Nope, been gathering NOS parts and such. I am looking at hopefully May for chunk to come and reside here. That's if everything goes to plan.
  6. Currently working with @CoastChief on these(he offered to help). He's currently busy with life, making moldings and other top secret stuff. Supposedly my sister knows someone but I have not asked her yet. Trust me, I have some labels that should be reproduced too like the VIN barcode labels on the radiator support.
  7. Oof, 91 2.5L, out of my forte. But all I can offer is cruisers tips like above, check your grounds, improve those grounds and move from there with diagnosing and probing some wires for power and such.
  8. Back from Pete's post on the relay harness, these are in the works.
  9. I never ever EVER thought I would see an automotive blurb mention the N64.
  10. Reading that is what makes me wish I wasnt so damn illiterate to older tech. Ive learned quite a few things from the popular youtube channels that restore old computers but not enough to know if it is possible or not to recode those chips.
  11. Indeed it does. I am uploading pics of it right now.
  12. So I made a sacrifice for the sake of info but I took my later style board with the ceiling dome and removed the board and uncovered the chip that had a printed tape with numbers on it to look at the chip It is a Phillips chip: TEA 5500 228 98 HSS 9144 6
  13. Oh yeah. FCC stuff. I am interested in the Camaro one very much, I just need to find one.
  14. Couldnt we make something today using the modern tech we have to fit in those little housings? I mean I find it odd that the modules got bigger as time went on until full integration into the ECU but I have an HO module and the board it long and skinny and I have been searching for something that would just fit into the XJ housing.
  15. The chips in the remotes and the chips in the module need to have matching numbers. Otherwise no there really isnt a way to pair them. If I had to take an absolute educated guess, the chips were probably coded with numbers via an EPROM machine or something like that. A lot of this info from the AMC|Jeep era is lost to time and not a lot of info was shared nor documented unless someone worked for the vendor or for Jeep. Renault was the company that first started the keyless entry fad and there might be more info from them but I did a quick search a while back and got nothing back.
  16. Youtube works just as well lol.
  17. Those are iOS format videos. 89, might I suggest sending the videos to either OneDrive or goggle drive and share the link with us. Usually works best for nonstandard video formats and becomes more friendly to view on all platforms.
  18. So thats where the remaining worlds supply of the Superbirds/Daytonas are.
  19. Ok if the gauge shows empty when you power it on, then you got the right sending unit. If it went to full while empty, then youll have fun screwing with some people saying the truck is a magical gas gainer lol. If you don't hear the pump priming, then chances are filling with some gas won't do the trick.
  20. The harness may show power but the question is, can the harness handle the draw of the pump. There's lots to do especially if you haven't done all of cruisers tips like the C101(Early 87-88's had this connector) and ground refreshing. Right now does the gauge react to the new sending unit assembly IE go full or empty? Empty on full is an H.O.(High Output) 91-92 sending unit and full on full is the proper Renix sending unit. There's lot and lots of info to be learned and i am trying to give a crash course in this post. Renix is AMC's Renault/Bendix Fuel Injection system that is commonly referred to in the 86-90 years. The C101 was crammed full of grease that has hardened over the years and made the electrical contacts less conductive and a lot of problems and issues can be resolved there. Peruse cruisers tips, clean everything, pick up some Mopar contact cleaner, stuff is amazing for cleaning the C101 on the fire wall. There is a 25 page epic on testing a lot of the circuitry for an 86 2.5L but there is some good info there that can help. Acquire all the knowledge you can about these uncommon trucks and have a metric ton of fun with their simplicity.
  21. I am sitting in my chair at work in complete dumfounded stupidity wondering why the hell I haven't made any damn studs for the transmission installation process yet. Ive been doing it the He-man shoving and twisting until it sinks in way. Heavily noted.
  22. No problem. I know theres a few OEM ones left, never had a reason to snag them up...yet.
  23. Sucks no one has given you an answer. If you have those part numbers handy I’ll run them real quick and I can snag you some OEM ones for ya if that will ease you.
