  1. Oddly specific but yes! The amount of knowledge is nice for this.
  2. I. Hate. Pool. Stuff. Course half of it is my fault I screwed up the threads on the motor shaft. Never fails. But I found a pool pump repair shop today. They hooked me up with a used motor shaft for $25. Sweet deal. Lubed up the bearings and threw the motor back together. Put it back to the filter assembly and 5 minutes later in primed! Yay. Oh hey is that water coming from the shaft area? Dammit…motor comes out again, remove impeller to find I put the spring seal on back wards. Ok fixed that, put it back together. 15 minutes later I’m primed again and running. Oh hey there’s a water fountain coming out of the pump to housing crack. F—-. Motor comes out of housing again. Remove giant O-ring, clean it, lube it, put it back together. Third times the charm aaaaaand we are still running. Feels good to have that done. Now I gotta figure out why the pool light keeps tripping the GFI. Oh also my father helped me install a light in the parts room so now it doesn’t look like I’m off to the mines every time.
  3. I regret my upgrade…..
  4. Well if you have the 2.5L with a manual, you’ll have the AX4.
  5. About $20 my price. Just depends on how the dealer charges me.
  6. I just got Eagle two sets from some Chrysler dealers.
  7. What would be cool is if AMC had the foresight to make an indentation in one of the B-pillars for an extinguisher. Since there’s plenty of room for probably a small one to be clipped in. There’s probably plenty of space between the pass seat and lower B-pillar molding to put something there.
  8. It just depends. Those blocks do separate from each other and someone could’ve rearranged them.
  9. Ahhhh I see what you’re doing.
  10. Whaaaa? Your MJ isn’t that low of miles is it?
  11. Test for continuity from the fusible link to what ever it powers. So like the fusible link to the fuel pump relay would be the idle one to test.
  12. Steering box dampener.
  13. Damn. An ICM sounds possible. You made sure fusible links didn’t blow right?
  14. Highly recommend gettin that C101 cleaned. Get a butt load of brake cleaner or electrical contact cleaner and be prepared to spray and scrape gunk out.
  15. MTS or who ever the company is makes new MJ sending units. We highly recommend those since theyre available vs going to get a sending unit over the counter and hoping it fits
  16. Then there really isnt a difference between the two, its just the length of the wiring for the O2 sensor
  17. I mean, it is tight regardless, 2.5L & 4.0L share the same air box bottom, just not the lid.
  18. I don't know if the 4.0L harness plug will reach that far. The 2.5L harness to O2 is almost damn near too short for the 2.5L.
  19. Man. Much ain’t goin your way right now. Has everything been cleaned? Like contacts, C101, fuse block connector?
  20. I feel if we did, it probably would be a blank slate unless keyparts really has Chryslers backing on the authentic restoration parts.
  21. You know, I swear by this sometimes that AMC used generic tow mirrors, try looking at some of the competitors trucks from the same era. There was once an older Toyota mini truck on the lot that I swear has the same damn mirrors as what the MJ used.
  22. So this applies to those who have the HO cover but not the AMC cover.
  23. Oh damn! Course I didn’t know we needed those….
  24. Yes it could. Anything that obstructs the magnet from the censor from reading the flywheel will basically signal the ECU as if there’s no gap in the flywheel to signal spark.
  25. I really should take a pic of the entire set up out of the vehicle to aid in this type of situation. Anywhooo a fun short read for ya Should have everything there that needs to be yanked with pics of each part. The wiring harness should have a few things plugged into it which should help aid in what needs to go with the set up.
