1989 Jeep Comanche
4.0 / AW4 / 2wd / Ford 9", formerly D35 / short bed
Build date: 2-89
Current Location: Richmond, VA
Status: Saved it from someone who was going to part it out, raced it for a few years and now it's on the road after some more upgrades.
Notes: Truck was originally an awesome metallic grey but the PO painted it flat army green. after so many years it now has a pretty cool patina to the crappy paint job, but one day I would like to repaint it the factory color. I bought the truck originally just to race it, threw a Ford 9" rear in it with a spool, a 5.14 gear, and disk brakes. 30" sand paddles or street slicks, aw4 shift kit, 1.7 HS roller rockers, dual e-fans, horshoe intake, 75hp wet shot of nitrous, aftermarket fuel pump and 10Gal fuel cell. It's been lowered about 1-1.5". I just got it out of the garage again and on the road after swapping to a MS3x ECM, I needed to be able to tune it since all the adjustments for nitrous made it run like crap off the happy gas. It's been a blast to drive around on the street finally and a very interesting experience learning how to tune on it.
Current owner: Me, if you want to see more pictures you can follow my Instagram, Cdyt7717. I actually met the previous previous owner on Facebook awhile back and found out that the PO went and picked the truck up from Ga and brought it back to Va.
