  1. I put the completer 91 header pannel on my 88. Not sure if alll the grill and trip parts will fit on the 88 header panel or not
  2. You can only use the front from the Cherokee. Rear springs are wrong for the Comanche. If the Cherokee has a rear AAL you can use that but it will only give you about half the lift as on the Cherokee. And as stated above short and long bed Comanche are the same.
  3. If the cap is leaking it will boil fairly fast. Replace that first then see what happens.
  4. "C" has a square block on the back side of the bracket thar "D" threads into.
  5. I just let the vacuum switch stay in the case on my truck.
  6. Shocks mounted like / \ should have the mounts perpendicular to the axle and shocks mounted like l l as on our trucks should have the mounts parallel with the axle. This allows the angle of the shock to change as the axle moves. Its not that one is better than the other its determined by the mounting location and shock position.
  7. New locks are smaller and the connection on the back is different. It will fit in the hole but it will not cover the opening properly.
  8. Interesting idea! Do these states have better investigators or worse politicians? Another thought - are there actually better and worse politicians or are they all equally sleazy? I have no idea but it could be that they are actually harder on corruption and it looks bad when you view it by only looking at convictions. Or they could just be full of crooks.
  9. So this is based on convictions for violating corruption laws. I wonder if this is because these states have a higher rate of corruption or if they have a higher rate of convictions for corruption violations?
  10. I rebuilt the engine and found they are worn in the pivots very bad. I didnt have time to get new ones when I was assembling the engine so i just put the old ones back in and I'm just now getting time to replace them.
  11. I need to replace my rocker arm assemblies and NAPA shows two part numbers SEP R905 $16.49 and SEP R 905B $13.69 these are sealed power brand. Any idea what the difference is?
  12. I would put the front up on stands and pull the front tires. Apply the brakes fully then release the pedal. Now crack the bleeder and see if it is holding pressure. If you have no pressure then we need to start looking for a mechaical reason the brakes are dragging. If you have pressure we can start looking for a hydraulic blockage or restriction.
  13. Were both sides dragging? I would think if you went very far they would have been very hot.
  14. Idk if I would go that tight...I did it hand tight because I didn't want to break a bolt in the head.... he said 55 "inch" pounds that's only about 4.5 foot pounds.
  15. How would you attach it? I've thought about it,but don't want to put any more holes in the cab. Maybe if one were to attach it to the seat? I was just going to screw it to the cab. If you don't want holes you could build one that sits on the floor behind the seat.
  16. Did you damage the o2 sensor in the process?
  17. I think that was a good decision.
  18. I have looked at my truck and I don't think I have room behind my head on the window because I run with my seat all the way back. I am thinking of mounting one of the old style behind the seat in the back wall to hold my guns out of sight.
  19. I don't know if it will work or not but I would be concerned about the height of the release fingers that touch the release bearing. On old JD equipment the fingers were adustable so the same pressure plate could be used in multiple application. Each application gave a part number for the correct tool to measure the fingers with. Are you measuring the fingers on both with no load (UNBOLTED)?
  20. Did you say that when running the 225 75 15 tires you have no DW and with the 255 70 18 you do? If thats the case you need to look at the 18 inch wheel/tire combo. What are the take off's from? Are you using wheel adaptors to make them fit?
  21. On the spare wires I just put a piece of shrink wrap on the end to seal it off and wrapped it up in the harness.
  22. I just did my truck this weekend and there are definitely a few that change colors so do as Cruiser says and go pin to pin. I also had 4 wires that didn't go anywhere on the other side of the connector so don't let that confuse you. And just to let everyone know I didnt have any problems with my truck before eliminating the c101 but it does feel like it runs more smoothly now.
  23. Thats true I took my truck to one of the large body shops in my area for an estimate and they wouldn't give me one. My truck has zero rust, they just needed to fix a coulpe dents in the bed and tailgate. They told me that was more of a restoration project and they don't do that.
  24. Are you opening the valve thats in the connector on the compressor? It should take a 1/4" square drive to to turn the valve open.
