I have had new glass cut before.
-
It looks like it is solid mounted at both ends....no shackles....that makes it have no springs in the front at all.

Only if a tune up is due. I can't give you any more advice on the subject as I don't know enough about the 2.8 fuel system to tell you how to correct a lean condition. If you are going to read your plugs you need to at least pull them out so you know their condition before making any changes. I personally would not run open pipes you don't get anything but noise, bad hearing, and tickets. I guess I'm getting old lol.

In my experience opening up the intake or exhaust and not correcting the mixture will cause a lean condition and can hurt things. You can run open headers if you want but you need to do it the right way or you will lose performance or potentially hurt things. And I believe this goes for any gas engine.

FYI Cherokee visor does not fit correctly. 7.5" is a bunch of lift you will need a lot to make it work. Why do you want to go so high?

If you do it just keep an eye on your spark plugs. If they show the engine is running lean then you will need to adjust for that condition.

I think parker schnabel should stick to gold mining and leave his wheels alone. And one more thing don't watch DIY videos that show you how to accidentally melt the plastic parts of your truck. -

Mechanical fan should turn less when hot (more resistance to spinning) not more , it sounds like cluth is bad. My electric fan doesn't kink in till well above 210 but it does kick on with a/c. -

I know your electric fan is not functioning but also check the mechanical fan clutch they don't last too long and will cause it to heat up when stopped. -

Water boils at 212F if it's not under pressure, sounds like you need to fix your pressure leaks first then see what happens. -
Yep you have everything you need. You don't need to do anything with the parking brake.

If you are using new head bolts cut the heads off a couple old ones and use them as guides. -
Which rear tire drives the Comanche?
nitroxsteve replied to Jnick's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Correct. And my preference would be to put the best tires on the front. The front does all the steering and the major part of the braking -- I like to have some ccontrol over my vehicle when driving. Me 3 -
Pronounced Shake At 60+Mph: Tires?

2wd drive shaft with the rubber sleeve? That was the cause of my vibration ag 60+ mph. -
look at the floors anyway. They rust from the inside out it has nothing to do with salt. These trucks are very bad to leak water into the floor. Lots of rust free trucks with no floors out there.

I have been running 10w40 in my Peugeot and 231 for a couple years now with no problems. -
I went to Nashville auto diesel in 1994. The cost back then was $13,500 for the year. I did enjoy the school and it gave me a good start. In my opinion ASE certification is not important in the heavy equipment field. When i started the school i planned to work on the automotive side but switched to diesel. I would also recomend the diesel field over motorcycle mostly because of job security. Diesel mechanics are in high demand all over the country and motorcycles can be seasonal. I worked for heavy equipment dealers after graduation mainly because the dealers tend to send you for factory training usually 1-2 weeks a year. Specializing in a certain field can also be helpful. I specialized in hydraulic and electrical and it has worked well for my career. I have worked in the heavy equipment field since i graduated and have never been unemployed for a day. Its not always an easy field to work in but its secure and the money can be good.

You don't need to light the gass just pour some in the hole it will kill them. I just use foaming bee killer on my bees.

I think that changed in later years I just don't remember when. edit..I don't think it was in 1990 so you are correct.

ANOTHER coolant thread... boiling
nitroxsteve replied to toid's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Pressurizing the system raises the boiling point of the coolant. If its boiling that tells me your cooling system is not holding pressure. -
Make sure you don't have the exhaust banging on something.
