Did the person who told you this actually see the groove or are they making a prediction?

I added aftermarket water oil and volt gauges onder the dash on my truck. I used a thermostat housing from a 4.0 HO. It has a port for a sensor and I am reading my water temp from this port. I still have all of the dummy lights hooked up and the gauges under the dash. This way if I am a dummy and not watching the gauges the lights will still work and get my atention.

don't worry about oil temp just monitor the water temp.

Is it shutting off and back on again by it self?

In my area I can buy used doors for $60.00 each. If you have rusted doors and if you like the small mirrors you could replace the complete doors from a cherokee. This would fix your rust, the 4 holes in the door and get you mirrors that are easier to find. In my area that $60.00 gets a complete door mirrors and all. Not sure what the prices will be in your area.

Under load especially if you don't downshift you have low rpm and the throttle open. This gives less manifiod vacuum. I have had a couple different cars do this. If everything is working I wouldnt worry about it.

Did you say the steering wheel turns 1/8 turn before the tires move?

I would put the AAL in and see how it looks then you can do shackles if you need it. I doubt you will need them.

I raised the front of my truck 3" and only 1" in the back and the back still sits 1" higher than the front.

People do all kinds of thing to help with cooling but in my opinion if its running hot something is wrong. Also keep in mind that normal temp is around 210f how warm are you running?

What did your donor parts come from? Your truck would have come with a vacuum swith to turn the light on but depending on what year the tcase and front axle came from you may not have it.

I'm guessing you have an 86 with a 2.8, I'd go 3.4

and the most free and cheep is to try shifting it while moving.

Ifs has been a rumor for the wrangler at least as far back as 2006 when the jk was expected in 2007.

I agree spacers are no harder on bearings than wheels with less back space. My question would be how wide are the33's you want to run and will they fit ok on the stock wheels width.

I was thinking the same thing. I may pull my column and carry it to the yard to make a comparison to the S10.

I am thinking about swapping my 5spd for an auto and was wondering if the floor shifter from a XJ would work with the mini console? I would prefer to put the shifter on the steering column but not sure how easy it will be to find a new column. Will any other steering columns work other than from a MJ?

lights can also dim because the reflective material in the back of the lens deteriorates and it looses it reflection. Especially on cheap lights.
