Have you had the diodes in the alternator checked???? I was battling the same thing trying to figure out why it was doing that. That's what it turned out being.

A Versa??? whats that take.... D-cells or 9 volts???? Get some rechargeable ones... its cheaper that buying all those packs... :rotf: I don't know whats wrong with Optima batteries. Had my last one about 6 years(red top) and it got a pretty good abusing. Would be quite a waste in a toy DD like a Versa though.. Interstate or Die Hard... That way you aren't replacing it all the time.

I hated it there also.. People have no clue what good pizza is... The ones I had worked with were dumber than posts.. And theives will steal ANYTHING that isn't nailed to ground... and stuff that is nailed down if they have enough time.

I said that the other day... I worked with sodium silicate for a couple years... it is some nasty stuff once it cools... I have a friend who is a salesman at a BIG Ford dealer in $#!&-cago. He said they have been out of qualifying cars since the third day of the program. He also said that 80% of the people coming in are being turned down. Due to credit stuff and the EPA changing the milage standards the day before it began. But the truth is what we are seeing is people who didn't need an SUV in the first place buying the car they should have back then.

Would love to.. but three problems... No plates, no insurance and the most important.... The adventure brakes.... One time I press the pedal.. Lots of brakes.. next time none..Zero. I was sitting at a stoplight and the pedal goes to floor and the truck starts rolling... Yup.. in my driveway in front of my garage. All four tires on the concrete. The original intention of the ordinance was a good one. We have a couple of big apartment complexes that are run by the local slumlord. The parking lot behind the one looked like a new batch had just arrived at the pick-n-pull. I ALMOST took a job in Birmingham. But the weather is too rough on my wife's health. I wanted to move down there 'cause everything was dirt cheap and noone cared about how much junk you had. I will go take a picture once I get everything back in place... The MJ will barely be able to be seen... If it was lifted at all it wouldnt have fit. I actually scraped the side of the door a bit getting it in there.

You better recheck those hours... The ones I have been to have been 24/7 for Momma, Dad, siblings and the GP's. The rest were all subject to lesser hours. The pink Barbie Power Wheels Jeep will hurt if it runs over your toes...

Well.. I got my annual notice of non-compliance. What that basically means is that I had a non-liscensed, non-insured vehicle in my driveway. I was given 10 days to plate it.. or move it. They also stipulated that it had to move every 5 days under its own power or it would be towed. We have two new cops in town that are trying to score brownies with the Chief, and are actually towing cars this year. So I had to address my poor Pedro and the fact he has sat for over two years in the same place. But after hooking the jumper cables up and a couple of shots of starter fluid. He pretty much fired right up. Quite a bit of coughing and sputtering.. and 2 year old Ethanol-50 smells MUCH worse when being burnt than gas.. I got him into the garage to hide out from Johnny Law. Now I have a HUGE pile of crap sitting the driveway that was in the bed.. and a big pile of junk from the garage in the bed. And for the record... a LWB MJ fits inside a 20 foot deep one car garage... with a little room to spare... I have no idea how people were expected to put their cars into these garages in the 40's-50's.....

Congrats man!!! It's an entirely new experience to have a baby around. The best thing that could have happened for our twins was having older kids around(13 and 8 ). The older kids have been PHENOMAL with the twins.

I'm its second owner.... Same engine with no rebuilds..only its second tranny.

A Hurst shifter???? on a Puke-Out??? Or was it the regular shifter and a Hurst knob...

Mine isn't quite as cool as the 97 interior swap in, but it does me okay...

The only fun part of this... they picked probably one of the worst substances to use for this.... Sodium Silicate doesn't harden when it gets hot. It becomes more liquid the hotter it gets. Its delivered and stored hot. It doesn't harden until it cools and is exposed to air. Than it becomes extremely hard and turns almost glass like... Ever been to a Home Depot??? Take a look at that nice shiny floor..Its covered in a Sodium Silicate sealer. The sealer is made while its hot and shot into vacuum sealed containers. Plus now.. when they go to sell those scrap motors, you have a big time contaminent in them making the steel less valuable.

The owner of RT.14 Auto Parts was on WBBM this morning talking about it. He said that even though ONLY the engine and transmission have to go to the crusher.. entire vehicles are going to end up going because parts prices are dropping already and steel scrap prices have ticked up.

That's not an MJ tailgate.... Look at the center of it... that is a cut down XJ hatch. Whether is a steel one or fiberglass???
-
There must be two different ones for 88... Mine has the same picture on the cover.. but no white on it.. the picture is full-size. My brochure is the Jeep Truck one. Lists the J trucks and Comanches both.

Cool... he can go back an get it then... I saw one the other day for $6500 on a lot over near Rob... What lot would this be? Rob L. I'm not sure... I left here went to Bolingbrook, Antioch and McHenry through Harvard and to Rockford... It was somewhere between Antioch and Harvard. It was black.. right on the front of the lot and had a big 5.9 on the windshield.

Schedule 40 water pipe?? or something exotic... Cause that would finally be a good use for that Harbor Frieght bender that gets brought up every once in a while...

XJ.... Finish putting it back together(Hopefully Rob hasnt tossed that gas tank) ZJ... Swap in a Limited interior and make a ZJ SUT out of it. MJ.... Don't know.. watch it slowly rust away seems to be the plan at the moment.

I really like it.... Gives it almost an M-715 feel... What are the bent tubes made from???

That's cause you live over there with the rich folks.... Rich folks?!?! I live in Harvard, IL!!! Our town is based around a plastic cow... :D I think we are the sharp drop-off from chicago to the country. Past us (towards y'all in Rockford) things only get worse... ;) Money is a distant memory in this town. Rob L. Once you get east of 47.. thats where you get your McMansions..plastic boobs and Lexus SUVs.... Out here we got trailer houses, Celluite, and Kia's.....

I've got a 94 with 5.2l and a NP249 and 209k miles on it.... Other than the viscous coupler in the T-case and the already noted electric bugs. Its been a VERY good truck. The 42RE didnt come behind the 5.2l and the D-35 is no more or less stinky than when it is in any other Jeep. The ZJ was really made for the V-8 though... Drive a 4.0l version than a 5.2l version.. the difference is nite and day.....

And has one of the thickest necks out there for welding.......

X2. I love the composite toe because it doesn't freeze your digits in the winter. The steel seems to retain the cold and refridgerate my dogs. And when your driving a relic of a dumptruck as a plow, the floor vents aren't that great. Rob L. Try doing it in a 1979 backhoe.....I covered the broken lower cab windows with cardboard last winter....
