  1. I am just north of Orlando, schools started spring break today and they have already added another week so students aren't scheduled back until March 30th as of now. What is really telling is that Disney and other parks are closing after Sunday until the end of the month. Disney has only ever closed for a hurricane as far as I know. They did announce that the hourly employees will be paid for their scheduled shifts during down time. Most activities involving crowds have been cancelled for the Orlando area.
  2. Back in '04 during Hurricane Charlie our biggest pine tree uprooted and fell on the neighbor's house. If I had parked my mj further back on the driveway it would have done the same to my truck as what happened to the above truck. That had to be loud when that tree came down.
  3. I am not a fabricator or off roader but is that thing anything more than a glorified roof rack? Also, it is in front of a Jeep Custom shop, a place I would never want to take a Jeep after seeing that abomination. Buck.
  4. Great job cleaning up the engine bay, looks great! Safe travels and happy birthday!

For any who haven't seen me sign Buck at the end of a post, my name is Buck and I possess a Comanche, lazy way of showing possession. Buck.
  6. So I saw Eric Clapton mentioned and wanted to share one of my favorite Clapton recordings, even though it is not a Clapton tune, a great remake of Hendrix's Little Wing. It is from the Legends tour, everyone is world class, Steve Gadd on drums, most drummers refer to him as Steve God. Great Clapton and Sanborn solos, Clapton finally gives up and he and the rest of the band are smiling at Sanborn while Sheryl Crow is waving him off, chills from the solo and laughter because everyone in the band just having fun listening.
  7. Wow, that is some amazing work! Congrats on finishing. Buck.
  8. Bienvenue! Si vous avez des questions, vous allez trouvez les reponses ici. Je m'excuse pour les fautes, j'ai beaucoup oublie. Il faut que je trouve les accents aussi! Buck.
  9. That. Is. Awesome. Buck.
  10. Added 1 1/4" rear wheel spacers, wanted to do this for a while, very happy with the new stance. Buck.
  11. Bought some used 1 1/4" wheel spacers for the rear, thanks Jeep Driver! I really like the wider stance in the back now, matches the front much better. I also think it gave me a good 10 more horses, nice little modification I had been wanting to do for a while. Buck.
  12. Congrats on the great find! Looks like you already have it under control! Keep looking and asking here, someone has most likely done it and posted how to do it, so much knowledge on this site, you will be giving advice before you know it! Buck.
  13. Horatio "El Negro" Hernandez on drums, try to follow the clave rhythm he plays on the muted cowbell with his left foot, throughout the whole tune, while everything is going on, and that is just 3 people, totally blows me away every time I listen, crazy good.
  14. Pete, thanks for sharing Brass Against, I hadn't heard of them yet, wow, great stuff!

    Looking for MJotMs

I felt a little weird responding to the request for nominations a few years ago but glad I did inquire, it still has to go through the process. Although mine can't hold a candle to some of the builds, restorations, lifts, modifications, etc., I am glad and flattered that mine has added to the wide variety that is mjotm. Every once in a while I will see someone asking about how to get theirs nominated then I see they have a whopping 5 posts, nice to see some that have been around for a while and the owner finally gets uncovered, so to speak. There are probably many on here who are too humble to speak up, I get it, but please think about the sharing part, not the "look at me" part. Send me or someone a pm and we will be happy to speak for you! Buck.
  16. Congratulations! Well deserved and thanks for being around for us all these years!
  17. That is a great and hilarious idea, especially for a work truck. Wonder how many people have tried to steal it while walking by it in a parking lot? Buck
  18. That has to be a hell of a ride trying to get that rig to stop!
  19. I would try some experimenting. Maybe scrape some of the very loose paint off and maybe lightly sand and then poly. If you try to poly over loose paint it will flake and get in the poly and contaminate it. Do be careful with the paint though, good chance some of it has lead, especially the coats closest to the wood surface. I have some walnut that my grandfather bought and he made several tables I still have and I have made some projects with some of that same wood. I really like when there is a connection to the family, worth the trouble of saving it. Good luck!
  20. Welcome to the madness and glad it wasn't chopped up. For a Wisconsin truck it does look great. Good luck, great starting point!
  21. Welcome to Florida, enjoy your time! We will have near record highs for the next 2 days and just slight chance of rain for the next week, probably just what you wanted to have during your vacation. I don't know where you will be for your trip but the weather should be good state wide, have fun!

    RIP Neil Peart

Truly a sad day, what a great influence on so many drummers and musicians. RIP
  23. Great work! Keep the pics coming! Buck.
