  1. I chopped the track bar yesterday, it was short by a couple inches. I found 1" black gas pipe makes a tight interference fit over the track bar. My track bar is solid, I've seen other guys modify theirs, and theirs are hollow. Not sure why the difference. I didn't get to finish it, had to get my truck off the hoist to change the shift fork in my sister-in-law's chevy tracker. Will post more pics when it's done. Sent from my SM-N900W8 using Tapatalk
  2. I'm jealous, Edmonton doesn't usually get too much snow, mostly cold and ice Hey a fellow Albertan! I'm in Calgary. We have between 6-8" of accumulated snow right now, it's supposed to snow most of this coming week. I love this weather, it's the only time my Jeep outperforms the other vehicles on the road. 3. Ok thanks for the input guys, I appreciate it. Just got a local price for an adjustable track bar, $225. Might chop the one I have, just to try it out, if the geometry is too messed up, I'll bite the bullet and buy an adjustable. Sent from my SM-N900W8 using Tapatalk
  4. If I was to lengthen my existing track bar, what do you think would be the best way to get the final measurement? I'm thinking of cutting, sleeving and welding, so I'm guessing with wheels on the ground, and axle centered under the rig, that would give me the track bar measurement I need? 5. Hi guys, Just put 5.5" RE coils in the front of my MJ this morning, I got it back on the ground and found its cocked over to the drivers side between 1 and 2 inches. Anyone had this problem? I have aftermarket bent LCA'S in it, are they directional/ offset? I can't see any other reason for it. I can try unbolt the sway bar after work, but does anyone have any ideas? TIA Drivers side. Passenger side. Drivers LCA Passenger LCA. Sent from my SM-N900W8 using Tapatalk
  6. Cherokee's don't have frame rails. Maybe a frame stiffening kit might work? Sent from my SM-N900W8 using Tapatalk
  7. Good deal, I couldn't go without my 5 speed, I have actually never owned or driven an auto Jeep. AX15 and NP231 is my preference, that's what I'm putting in my 89 MJ. Sent from my SM-N900W8 using Tapatalk
  8. Good info, thanks. Sent from my SM-N900W8 using Tapatalk

  10. So, I will be putting my AX15 from my 99 cherokee into my 89 Comanche. The way I understand it is I will need an 89 flywheel, but a clutch kit for a 99 AX15? I have also been told there is a different sized bushing needed? Anyone have a size/ and/or part number for that? Sent from my SM-N900W8 using Tapatalk

  12. What kind of boost will you be running, and what will your AFR be? That's were I would start. Sent from my SM-N900W8 using Tapatalk
  13. I'm guessing this is only an advantage if you fit your own tires? My tire guy balances them when he fits them, so there really isn't any cost savings involved for me. Unless there is another reason behind doing it this way? Sent from my SM-N900W8 using Tapatalk
  14. Welcome, sounds like you had the same idea as me. I found an 89 MJ to replace my trusty rusty 99XJ, and am currently in the process. Look forward to seeing your progress! Sent from my SM-N900W8 using Tapatalk
  15. I extended mine by using a piece of hard brake line as a joiner to add more tubing. Sent from my SM-N900W8 using Tapatalk
  16. I got 6" of lift with my SOA, because I put in a chrysler 8.25. You will have about 5" without the AAL. You can get pinion angle shims to change your angle, if you want to keep your ride height. Sent from my SM-N900W8 using Tapatalk
  17. Soft canvas tops are very common in Australia, where I am originally from. I bet something from a Toyota hilux would be a pretty close fit. Sent from my SM-N900W8 using Tapatalk
  18. I just installed aftermarket LCA'S last week, can't say I had that problem, but I can say that the second arm was a real bear to get in. It didn't look like it would even come close, but I used a big pry bar to rotate the axle a bit, as well as shift it sideways. Then it slotted right in. Took some work though. 19. Sounds like you got it figured out. Sent from my SM-N900W8 using Tapatalk
  20. Looks good, worth the money if the floor pan is good. Only thing that could make it better is if it was 5 speed IMHO. Sent from my SM-N900W8 using Tapatalk
  21. Depends on the bumper and the prep involved. See if you can get someone to do it as a cash job, there are plenty of guys around that can weld who would take it on as a side project for a couple hundred bucks. Sent from my SM-N900W8 using Tapatalk
  22. The link isn't working, so I can't see what you're talking about, just giving you some general information that might help... Sent from my SM-N900W8 using Tapatalk
  23. You can buy the waterpump in the same housing that runs clockwise, or counterclockwise, depending on application. Sent from my SM-N900W8 using Tapatalk
  24. I haven't seen them either. Kinda ugly though... would make my MJ look like it had cataracts. Sent from my SM-N900W8 using Tapatalk
  25. More horsepower and ease of diagnosis would be the 2 big ones for me. I have a 99XJ that I can swap into my 89 MJ, but unless I have a catastrophic failure in my current setup, the Benefits don't out way the time and effort to do the conversion. It's something I would love to do, I just don't have that kind of time right now. Sent from my SM-N900W8 using Tapatalk
