  1. I ended up biting the bait and buying some of the merch pretty nice stuff especially happy since it's basically my truck
  2. Not gonna lie i wanna buy the drivetrain for mine if you remove it. .
  3. Poor caravan had 18k miles on it. Someone traded it in at a honda dealership. Dealership junked it. Not a speck of rust. The damage seen on rocker panel is from loader forks. Thing was absolutley mint condition.
  4. Wow frank gave it up finally?
  5. This was one in 2008 I'm talking about. They may have done it another time too
  6. Thats usually how it is the mjs will get more looks than $100k built 4 door wranglers. Petes its funny you say that. One year as part of the event they sawzalled the roof off a junk xj and drove it around the event.
  7. LETS GET A GROUP TOGETHER TO REP CC! https://fb.me/e/8auETE3gV?mibextid=N4tvPT
  8. Would you guys wanna do the same thing? Wrights is a great place to eat especially with a group. They have a huge parking lot, of course my boss has said cc members are always welcome at deadjeep and he always give amazing deals in person. I'm open to any other ideas and I'm willing to travel. Gillette stadium/bass pro is always a great meetup spot and you also have crown automotive right up the road from there in canton which might be a worth checking out as a group.
  9. These are actually made right down the road from me in ri
  10. I'm game my truck is actuallly on the road now lets do this
  11. II agree, i really like them but they would not fit the look I'm going for with my truck. They would however look really good on a clean 97+ conversion.
  12. Good info and i totally agree on thr esab! Professional welder on submarines here (stick, pulse, mechanized, and some tig) I only recommend a honeywell sugar scoop with a shade 10 insert from Arc One. Not trying to be a snob but everything else is literally a toy and I'm only saying that because ive tried just about every gimmicky thing out there from esab, snap on ect. I didnt listen to the old timers. When i switched to this setup it was life changing. Now does everyone need this setup....no...but for the price about $150 you can't beat it. For hone my harbor frieght one does just fine!
  13. I'm glad you had a good experience, i work for dead jeep (13 years). Its a really small mom and pop type place but we ship hundreds of used parts every day. Its to bad because 1000 people will have a great experience with us and we hear crickets but we get one person whos order gets delayed or something out of our control and people go insane.
  14. I feel up here where we live most people are willing to rent out garage space but i swear everyone is dead set on not doing any kind of work on their vehicles there.
  15. I like them but it all depends on the situation 9 times out of ten i use the acetylene torch at work get the bolt head cherry (with the internal ones u are talking about) slam the extractor on with a 2 lb sledge and then use ratchet to remove them. With external style ive had good luck with the stubbys in situations like this but have NEVER been able to remove anything with these: long ones they just twist and slip out. Completly useless do not recommend at all.
  16. Ill have to check it out...i don't trust anything new anymore a few months ago we got two bad radiators right out of the box from advance auto parts for a customers 03 grand cherokee they weeped around the seams where the plastic tanks are crimped. @eaglescout526 Out of curiousity do you guys have radiator repair shops out west? They used to be a common thing around here but they have gone the way of the cobbler. Now you can only find them for like big trucks/equipment... its to bad id rather have a repaired old school brass than the crap they sell at the big box auto parts stores.
  17. Ordered new valve cover gasket, alternator, water pump, thermostat, upper and lower rad hoses. Painted a buch of stuff while it was out with high heat engine enamel from oreillys while it was out. I'm keeping my brass rad because its very clean and made way better than any crap they sell today. Prepping the jeep to be able to sit in traffic this coming summer. Plan on doing the fortunato rally this year. Would love to do hot rod power tour.
  18. Well the mj is parked for winter so finally got around to swapping in the guage oil pressure sender for the dummy light sender and went to remove the old dummy light sending unit and broke the fitting off in the block. I didnt feel like driving an hour to work to pick up my mac extracor set (made by irwin) so i stoped at harbor frieght and picked up the $35 el cheapo icon set on sale for $27. It worked perfectly to remove the broken elbow fitting def worth the $30 to have in home box.
  19. That article, although interesting makes my head hurt. It obvious the writer just thows ideas out there without any real knowlege of what he is talking about. Like the suspension travel being better because it is "body on frame" vs unibody. One could argue that infact the opposite could be true.
  20. How the heck did in just see this for the first time? Pologize if its already been posted
  21. No not really lol. I learned tk live with them i think the dye in the rubber is just not there anymore. I also found out they are not oem to any jeep. You could get them saying "ford" or "ranger" "bronco" as well. Someone posted on instagram they came across a lot of nos ones with the packaging still on them. They were made by "plasticolor" you can still find some if you search ebay.
  22. One last cruise in before the snow flies. Couple small projects lined up for winter while its in storage.
  23. Printed my first part on 3d printer....replacment visor clip
  24. New arrivals at work
