  1. "Enthusiast" is a losley used term too. Every mouth breather up here in new england wants a comanche and ends up getting one and destroying it. don't get me wrong i enjoy a good *tasteful* offroad build but up here it seems like every kid 19-25 that buys an mj gets in the middle of the 97+ swap, realizes it actually takes some effort to do it right, then junks the project that was an otherwise decent mj.
  2. Awesome! Glad it went to a member
  3. Whens the last time you tried to get one? Can you send me a pic of thr correct one i can text my buddy tomorrow to confirm. Been out with covid.

  6. Made some progress got front bumper installed and 1 marchal mounted as well as the new grille Pulled the 2wd ax4 in preperation for thr 4wd swap. Going to keep the bellhousing so i can use the externally mounted slave. Check out this "custom" shift fork the previous owner made. Suprisingly it never gave me any issues
  7. Man i hope you grabbed that! Super rare factory cargo box made by lido. Probably one of the rarest acessories up there with the hidden winch. In fact the cherokee i got my ramsey hidden Winch from had one...but it was sadly stolen out of the jeep as we were parting it out.
  8. Let me start off this thread by saying I am a tool fanatic. I take good care of my tools. I own a Snap-On tool box as well as many other name brand tools like mac and Cornwell I take good care of my tools because they make me money. I was working on a project with a friend when it begin raining out. We hurried up to finish the project and when it was done I threw all my tools on my tool bench and figured I'd clean them up the next morning. I noticed I had a little bit of rust on some of the bits we were using. Particularly 5/16 safety hex and a P1 screwdriver tip. These came out of my Mac set so they are not some cheap off brand tool. Once in awhile I will wipe my tools down with WD-40 on a rag before putting them away. This time I wanted to try the Rust-Oleum rust dissolver gel which I had on hand which said it works well on tools. I followed the directions on the bottle to the T after I wiped them off I also wipe them down with a little bit of WD-40 on a rag. A few days later this is what the B look like. It seems like the Rust-Oleum gel has caused some weird reaction with the metal. Or the WD-40. Either way I will never buy this product again. I usually have good luck with Rust-Oleum products but I think they missed out on this one. I also tried it on some rusty sheet metal in it cause some kind of weird galvanic looking corrosion than get rid of the rust
  9. Nice I'm slowly switching to elextric everything but my trusty poulan wild thing hasnt let me down yet.
  10. I work for General Dynamics Electric Boat as a structural welder. We just got our new barge "Holland" from Bollinger shipyard in Louisianna. Shes a big unit but prob nothing compared to some of the stuff youve moved around. Right next door to us is Senesco Marine. They build alot of tugboats possibly even some your company uses.
  11. What region do you operate around? I'm in the shipbuilding industry.

  14. Working on a little repaint and new decals for the hidden ramsey Rep6000. I used rustoleum satin black on all the brackets and harware and rustoleum hammered dark grey on the winch body which very closely matches the original finish. Got it installed and working tonight went with a wireless remote setup... Need to reinstall my front bumper. Also picked up an np231 21 spline for the 4wd swap. Ordered the correct 10 slot grill for 22 bucks rock auto closeout!

  23. Engine pile is a little backed up at work kid is taking to many smoke breaks. Pulling them faster than he can strip them down.
  24. I often think about peoples perceptions of classic cars. I was listening to a murder mystery podcast the other day the murder took place in 1985 and one of the victims friends was going on and on about her classic 1965 mustang and how nice it was (in a 1985 police interview after the murder). I thought to myself "wow that car was only 20 years old back then and they still talked about it with such reverence." To put it in perspective no one is talking about 2001 mustangs in the same way today....just some food for thought.
