Was def a fun one if you are looking to do it exactly like the box i used this paint in my airbrush ("Individual" brand metallic blue) i was very impressed by it.

I'm excited to start this one soon. I recently learned that two factors killed modeling in the 70s, video games for one and then the fact that that president jimmy carters cunsomer advocacy changes that required an actual finished product to be put on the front of the box which killed alot of thr imagination i suppose. One of the reasons i was excited to see that retro throwback amt lightning model at wal mart.

I used to do scale models alot as a kid 20 or so years ago and i recently git back into it. We just had a blizzard here on the east coast so i was able to finish up this j10. Anyone else build models not many jeep ones out there.

I was actually worried about that too. (You can see my measuring tape in The picture) i checked them with a set of calipers and they seem to be identical. The older bearing retainer is a bit shorter so ill use it just in case. -

I picked up a motor tranny and transfer case from a 98 2.5 tj today(only paid $150 I'm going to use the ax5 for my 4wd swap) ill bring it to work with me next saturday and redrill the holes for the t case clocking using the jig we have.. i'll be using the bearing retainer and bellhousing from my ax4 as well as clutch fork to keep it external slave... I'm giving the engine and transfer case to my boss since i have no use for them. As far as i can tell the pressure plate and clutch disk have the same p/n whether its an 86 or 98 so i will prob keep these ones because they are brand new. Does anyone see anything wrong with these plans? -
Thats honestly a really good price

I posted the info in the classifieds. It just occured to me that if I installed a roll bar it would cover up my NOS cargo box lamp so jt hurts a little less in that aspect lol
-

I was thinking the same thing. I have never seen that type bracket before either. Everyone one ive seen mounted on the side for the dana 35 and 44. What does the one for the amc 20 look like? -
For the record... i don't mind him as long as he sticks to the fords and dodges

Took ride to pick up a new headliner from @acfortier. I recovered it along with the visors using the instructional video posted by tyler over at bleepinjeep. They came out pretty good. now to install them in the truck. Prob going to install the NOS cargo box lamp first so i don't have to take it down again. -
Mounting the plate literally anywhere else would have been a better option. This photo does to my eyes, what nails on chalkboard does to my ears.
